Paprika Comfort Food + Cocktail Bar: Comfort Food at its Finest Spicing up the BGC

There is no doubt that Pinoy loves to eat. Especially comfort foods. But I must warn you before you continue reading this post because you will definitely, positively, and unquestionably get hungry. Call me redundant, but you really will. And if you ever found yourself in BGC, Taguig you don’t wanna miss Paprika Comfort Food + Cocktail Bar. Thanks for the invite Elaine & Nicole of Zomato!

Make way for Paprika Comfort Food + Cocktail Bar that is set to change your view on dining. Just recently, they opened their doors to a clientele whose definition of comfort food has never been the same since. Paprika offers food across cuisines that consist of Filipino, American, Italian dishes and the like. Let me share what are the must-try lists:

Bacon Onion Marmalade Bruschetta | P165
Bacon and onion marmalade, gruyere cheese, and bruschetta

Adobo Overload | P305
Pork Adobo, adobo rice, adobo sauce with adobo mayo

Roast Beef Pares | P225
Roast beef, home made pares sauce over garlic rice with chili-garlic oil

Bagoong Pasta | P220
Spaghetti pasta, bagoong sauce and pork liempo

Baby Back Ribs | P325
Half rack & garlic mashed potato

Chicken and Waffles | P245
Buttermilk fried chicken, waffles, maple syrup, and house gravy
Paprika gave me a new version of comfort foods. The dishes that I’ve tried are so far one of the best in the BGC. They’ll give you the familiar flavor, but with a twist on the side. Just like the Bagoong Pasta. There’s a hint of sweet and of course bagoong but very light; eat it together with the pork liempo and you’ll definitely enjoy it more. To be honest, their bagoong pasta is perfection! It became my favorite instantly.

Another dish that caught me off guard was Adobo Overload. Just when I thought that I have tried all different versions of Adobo, Paprika proved me wrong. They showed and let me taste a whole new version of Adobo. Adobo Overload, by the name itself, is pure adobo – from the adobo rice, adobo mayo, and adobo sauce. Wait, there’s more! They topped it with a Pork adobo that’s cooked twice and it’s so juicy, and crispy.

WTF! (What The Fudge!) | 180
Layers of dark chocolate and white chocolate ganache, coffee jelly, and topped with chocolate soil
I was actually looking forward to dessert and once again, Paprika surprised me with their WTF! They told me that there’s a right way to really enjoy eating this one – you have to start scooping from the very bottom. But all I can say is that the chocolate soil is really good!

Smoke Bacon Rye Sour
Bacon infused rye whiskey, fresh lemon juice, sugar syrup, and egg white
What’s the best way to compliment Paprika’s sumptuous dishes than their refreshing signature cocktail offerings. Paprika has a wide range of cocktail mixes that you can choose from. I am no drinker, but with their Smoke Bacon Rye Sour, I am willing to drink a couple of glasses. Paprika also came up with a unique way to serve this drink. They also have a Buy 1 Take 1 on cocktails every day from 5-8pm, Paprika’s Happy Hour Promo.

Paprika made sure that you’ll enjoy their food in the best ambiance. The cozy, intimate vibe that envelops the whole restaurant environment is very much reminiscent of laid-black European dining places.

Paprika will positively satisfy your craving for comfort food. What’s also good is that their dishes cost ranges from P200-350 only! For a quality food and cocktails, that is surely affordable. Visit Paprika now and experience a whole new concept of ‘comfort food’.
