Review: Shara Shara Triple Shine Color Shadow

Seriously, Shara Shara Triple Shine Color Shadow is a piece of a name, isn’t? Well, that’s what Koreans do! Honestly, I don’t really plan on posting this review, but after receiving emails, messages, comments and whatnot about this brand, Shara Shara, I decided to do this. If you remember, I got this baby from Rini when we do our makeup swap. She included this cute, little, Shara Shara Triple Shine Color Shadow.

But before I start the review, I want to make it clear that Shara Shara isn’t available here in the Philippines yet. If you’re planning to try this brand, I suggest pre-ordering it to your favorite Korean cosmetics online shops. ^^

With Korean makeups, it really is fun talking about the packaging. I’m really wondering how they always came up with such cute, pretty designs to pack their products. Do not judge the book by its cover because Shara Shara Triple Shine Color Shadow is not just for kids. Although the design is a little girl that looks like she’s looking out the window. It’s perfect for teens, young-adult, and young-at-heart ones. Shara Shara Triple Shine Color Shadow is perfect for starters!

Open the box and voila! You now have a very cute and portable eyeshadow palette! The packaging is plastic yet sturdy, though there wasn’t a mirror included which would make this product perfect, if ever. This palette could actually fit in your pocket, seriously. Plus, no more I-am-embarrassed-to-bring-out-my-eyeshadow-palette-to-retouch-in-public moment because I know am sure that as cute as this one, you’ll probably retouch your makeup in public proudly. LOL

A Pink Violet Palette is close to perfect. These three shades are all with shimmers. As you can see, I put a numbered on each shade. The colors seem like they are evolving from a lighter pink violet shade to a darker one. I wasn’t really expecting much from this palette, but it’s surprisingly pigmented even without eye primer.

The first two shades have a very little color difference; they’re actually close enough that when you use them together, you won’t see the effect you expected. While the number 3 is the best shade from the palette; you can use it as eyeliner or for eye contouring to achieve a violet-smoky-eye-makeup. Since all of them have shimmers, suggest using each color alone; they’re perfect for an everyday look.

As much as I wanted to say that this little palette is perfect, I couldn’t. Yes, the texture really is good and soft, pigmented, and has a decent staying power, but, you have to deal with the fall-out. I tried using the three shades all together and there were major fallouts under my eyes and cheeks. That wasn’t the only problem, because I had to redo my face makeup because the fallouts needed a makeup remover to be completely removed. Argh!

But then again, fallouts is a common eyeshadow problem, especially those who have shimmers. Right? And despite of that, I still like this palette. Not just because of the super cute packaging, but because of the pretty colors in the palette. Pink and Violet is, after all, my favorite color as of the moment. ^^
