Review: Pixy UV Whitening Compact Powder Coverlast

With my early school schedule, I don’t usually use a foundation or BB cream, powder will do. Honestly, I’m really not into compact powders, because I prefer the loose ones. Every once in a while, I’m still in search for a good yet affordable, compact powder and voila, I got this Pixy UV Whitening Compact Powder Coverlast.

Pixy UV Whitening Compact Powder Coverlast is a two-layered compact that separates the powder to its sponge. I’ve seen a packaging like this before and I kinda like the idea of it. Also, the packaging is quite catchy with its pink box and a white compact.

What does it claim:
The Microsphere Powder covers skin blemishes, makes makeup smooth evenly and look natural. It also has a function as an Oil Control Agent for longer lasting makeup. Contains SPF20, PA++, Natural Whitening Powder and Vitamin C.

I can't remember when was the last time that I used a compact powder to set my makeup, but after two straight weeks of using this compact powder from Pixy is definitely nice. Wearing it alone is one thing. The coverage is just right to make it look very natural on the skin. At first I was hesitant to use it since my skin is dry that it might cake on some parts of my face, but it doesn't. This compact powder is for all skin types!

I'm not sure how many shades are available; mine is honey and it perfectly matches my skin tone. The photo above looks darker, I tried my best to capture the closest color of this powder so just imagine that it is one tone lighter to that.

The application is very easy and I prefer to use a brush to apply it to my face as it ensures easier blending and even application. The pigmentation of this powder is just right for my skin tone. Pixy UV Whitening Compact Powder Coverlast is very natural, soft and smooth on the skin. Not to mention that it also has SPF20 and PA++ to protect the skin from UV rays.

What I also noticed is that this powder lessens the visibility of my pores! You don't actually need a primer to cover those pores when you use this. As for the whitening properties, I really can't say much about that because I still haven't noticed anything yet.

Use it alone or use it to settle your foundation, either way will work with this Pixy UV Whitening Compact Powder Coverlast. It controls oil as well for about 4-5 hours and on the 6th hour, well.. you still don't have to retouch your makeup.

Bottom line: Pixy Compact Powder is not perfect, but it's just the right one for you!

xoxo, M.
