I am always on the lookout for a new beauty product. I may not always show and share with you through my social media but, I really do, quietly. But the highlight of my today’s post is what’s currently taking the K-beauty by storm – the new products by Althea Korea namely Petal Velvet Sunaway and Milk Peel Cream Mask.
Althea’s Petal Velvet Sunaway and Milk Peel Cream Mask are their newest addition to their growing brand. I’m not surprised why because these two are the bomb! Let me introduce you to each these two products and also give you a quickie review individually.
Let’s
start with Petal Velvet Sunaway (55ml) |
Php480. If I remember correctly, this sunscreen has been available for a
couple of months now. The same with Althea’s products, this too has a
minimalistic design but with their signature pink color. Its key ingredients
are Damask Rose Extracts, Hyaluronic Acid,
and Geranium oil to maintain the youthfulness of the skin, make it extra
hydrated and smoother. However, the scent can be pretty strong upon application
but it fades away almost quickly.

Note: Always remember to
shake well before use. The first time I used it, I forgot to shake it and it
spilled like crazy! I’m sure I am not the only one who experienced it. LOL. Also,
upon shaking, I notice that there’s something inside the bottle that helps the
product to be well-shaken.
Petal Velvet Sunaway became my favorite sunscreen next to Biore. It’s lightweight,
easily absorbed by the skin, gives a velvety finish, and give no sticky feeling.
On to the next product, the Milk
Peel Cream Mask (50ml) | Php490. I was really excited when Althea sent me
this one because you all know that I am a big sucker to anything-mask! Funny
thing is, this one is not really a peel-type mask which was what I initially
though. It turns out that Milk Peel Cream Mask is actually a bubble mask. Still
fun, though.
Althea
Milk Peel Cream Mask contains AHA, BHA, and proteins from milk. But, it smells
more like a baby powder than milk – which doesn’t bother me at all. It has a
clay-like consistency that turns into a bubbles after 30-60 minutes. Be mindful
of the time as it has triplex exfoliating properties, meaning that it is quite
strong and may give a stingy/itchy feeling if left on the skin longer than
recommended time.
After rinsing it off, I noticed how my skin became brighter and
fresher. My face feels so clean and smooth, plus it’s so fun to use!
Overall, these two are great addition to my skincare routine. Both are
easy and fun to use, something to make my routine exciting. How about you, have
you tried any Althea products?
