What I have here is the Brillante Reve Long-lasting Auto Shadow in jewelry gold. Did you know that despite of my numerous eyeshadows, I am still in search for the perfect gold eyeshadow? Yes, and that is the reason why I agreed to test this product for review. Shall we start?
By any chance, are you familiar with pencil eyeshadows? If yes, then this product is no different to them, but this one is an auto eyeshadow; meaning that you won't have to use a sharpener to use this one. All you have to do is twist the lower part of the stick in order to release the other part of the product.
The design, on the other hand, is quite simple yet attractive. A combination of white and gray sure is pretty good and elegant in some ways. The bottom part of the stick (the twister part) is quite tight and perfect! You don't have to worry for an unexpected sudden twist that will result to broken eyeshadow stick.
Moving on to the actual formula; jewelry gold is love. ♥_♥
Jewelry gold is a yellow-brick-road kind of yellow. It has enough shimmers that definitely looks like a fairy dust (I haven't yet seen a real fairy dust, fyi). Brillante Reve Long-lasting Auto Shadow is pigmented and has a nice color payoff. It is easy to use, creamy consistency, but kinda rough (maybe because of the shimmers). Non-scented and delivers a very nice gold color.
So, how long this eyeshadow will last?
Well, the longevity of this eyeshadow is quite impressive. Brillante reve eyeshadow is smudge-proof and also water-proof. The photo above was the result after I put it under running water, rubbed a couple times and there's still a sweet gold color left. And take note, it isn't messy at all! The eyeshadow stays intact. Staying power is approximately 5 hours without primer and 7-8 hours with primer. Not bad, eh
You might need an oil-based makeup remover to completely remove the entire shimmer residue on your eyes though. And, uhm, blending may be a problem since Brillante Reve Long-lasting Auto Shadow dries quickly. Nonetheless, this eyeshadow sure is easy to use, portable, gentle, has a very cool shade and long lasting. I might as well grab the other available shades!
