Featured Products: Pink Sugar Creamy Matte Lipstick, HD Lipstick, and Sugar Tint

And after a few long weeks without any update, I finally finished one blog entry! Since it is my first post this month, I would like to start a new segment called, Featured Products. With this segment, I will be featuring products from one particular brand. This month Featured Products are from Pink Sugar simply because their lip products are heavenly good.

Pink Sugar Matte, HD Lipsticks, and Sugar Tint are the star of the month. They were chosen not just because they are great, but also because they can be your Valentine’s lip buddy. You’ll know why if you keep on scrolling down. ^^

PACKAGING:

I so did not expect a packaging this cute from a local brand. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why Pink Sugar hit it off; not to mention the alluring brand name that combines every girl’s favorites, Pink and Sugar (Sweets). The tubes of the lipsticks are rather thin, though – but that’s not a big deal to me.

PERFORMANCE:
VaVa Voom (HD) – has an orange undertone. It turns out to be more orange-y than reddish. It has a moist finish, but with less glossiness.
Sangria (matte) – the only lipstick I have that matches the color of Sangria wine perfectly. The finish is actually semi-matte.
Purple Pleasure (sugar tint) – this is an all-out purple with a perfect matte finish and doesn’t transfer.

These lippies shouts Pigmented (yes, Pigmented with a capital P)! The opacity is surprisingly immense. A few of my friends actually thought I was wearing a high-end brand lipstick. The swatches below shows two swipes of Sangria (matte), VaVa Voom(HD), and Purple Pleasure (sugar tint) to achieve that color payoff.

Both HD and Matte lipsticks stay for as much as 3-4 hours, that is, if you will not drink or eat anything. They both leave a stain on the lips after the lipstick is completely wiped out. The stain doesn’t stay that long, though. Moisture is not an issue here.

Sugar Tint, on the other hand, stays longer than the lipsticks, but not that much. Since it doesn’t transfer on anything your lips touches, it can stay for up to 5 hours max. No stain or anything after that. Given that it has a matte finish, expect the dryness that comes with it. Did I mention how it smells so good? It smells like grapes, baby!
Wait, there’s more. These featured lippies are cheap and available in all Watson’s and Department Stores nationwide.
