Review: Glow Mori White Ichiglow Serum Sunscreen Base

I reserve BB creams and foundations for special occasions; if not, I’m only wearing sunscreens or tinted moisturizer as they save me more time to get ready. I want my base to be as light as possible, but can keep my skin from getting oily all day long. I have an oily T-zone and dry U-zone, by the way. A couple of months ago, I received a surprise package that contains several Glow Mori products, and one of that is the White Ichiglow Serum Sunscreen Base.

Unlike the other sunscreen, this one is also a serum. It has silk essence, white ichigo, hamamelis Virginia leafy extract, caviar extract, niacin amide, Rosa canina fruit oil, hydrolyzed milk protein, and sum flower sprout extract as its main ingredients.

Glow Mori sunscreen base is actually beige in color. It's creamy and thick in consistency, but feels surprisingly light on skin. I find it slightly hard to spread onto the face because of its consistency. So I tend to use more of the product just to cover my whole face. The finish is matte-powdery and gives a brighter effect. The scent is my favorite; it smells like a sweet artificial strawberry - just like those strawberry filling in biscuits/crackers. It's really nice and not overwhelming. You won't even notice it after you put it on your face.

What I really love about this sunscreen base is how it keeps my skin fresh and without oiliness. I remember the first time I used it and I was out with my family; I don't have enough time that day to apply at least a layer of BB cream so I decided to put Glow Mori White Ichiglow Serum Sunscreen Base in my bag and apply it later on in the car while we were on the way to church (I always do my eyemakeup first and foundation later). The mass ended and we all agreed to hit the mall and have a nice dinner afterwards. Five hours later, when I was about to retouch my makeup, I was surprised to see that there wasn't any hint of oiliness on my face! It's really awesome. Even my sister who is the queen of oiliness says so, she said that it's now her Holy Grail sunscreen.

I also tried using it as a primer to my foundation and BB cream and it works great. My foundation stayed for another 3-4 hours. Most of the time, I use it alone to get through my lazy days. My only concern is that I find it rather small which makes it quite steep for its price. Quality wise, I think Php650 is alright.

Recommended to those who have oily skin.
