Let’s all be
honest that every time there’s a new brand in town, especially if it’s foreign,
we, Filipinos, MUST and SHOULD try it. I am talking about food here, don’t get
me wrong. We welcomed donuts, pizzas, ice cream, etc., and this time, PIE. From
Australia (with love), Pie Face, is now serving the Pinoy taste buds.
Located in
the North Wing Complex of SM Mall Of Asia, beside Sbarro, this intimate and
friendly first branch of Pie Face is providing smiles to the faces of their new
Pinoy fans.
When talking
about pies, the first thing that comes to our minds is that they’re sweet or in
my case, well, egg pie. LOL! Pie Face main offerings are their savory pies that
comes in 9 different flavors. They also take it to the next level, because they
put on emoticons on top of their pies. Not just that, each emoticon corresponds
the which flavor. Cool, isn’t? These pies comes in a crunchy pie crust, enough
to make you full.
This may
shock some of you, but I tried every single flavor of their savory and sweet
pies. I’m not on a diet or anything so I guess it’s okay. Also, I have to find
my new favorite pie! In the end, I have my top 4 on the savory side and two on
the sweet side.
Savory Pies:
Chunky Steak, Philly Cheese Steak, Chicken and Mushroom, and Spicy Chili con
Carne.
Sweet Pies:
Lemon and Chocolate Pie
The savory
pies are flavorful. Each flavor is juicy and not greasy. The meat is tender and
the mixture is just right. The pies all have a full filling that you have to be
careful when you bite because the filling will spill.
Pie Face
also offers hot and cold drinks. I have tried their Passion Fruit and Red
Berries Chilled and both of it are really good! Also, Pie Face is not just
about pies, they also offer other pastries and breads like muffins, cookies,
banana loaf, croissant, sandwich and cakes. Or if you’re on the healthy side,
they also have salads in the counter. And pastas.
To sum it
all, Pie Face is a really good place to hangout with your family, friends, or
even when you are alone. With the nice and yummy foods and free wifi, Pie Face
will make you smile the moment you enter their store until you leave.
