What Happened at the BDJ Launch Weekend: Dare to be You

My weekends were usually spent with me in bed and movie bunging. Last October 21 and 22 was kind of special because 1) It was the weekend when one of my cousins will be celebrating her 18th birthday; and 2) I get to attend the first BDJ Launch Weekend at EDSA Shanri-la Plaza! And I would like to share with you how fun was the latter (I’d love to share the former, but I don’t think you’ll enjoy it, tho).

Thanks to the awesome team of BDJ, I get to enjoy a full access to the event – the activities, workshops, and the talks.

During the first day, I didn’t get to stay longer because I had to go home early and prepare for the debut of my cousin. All I did was to look around and get my ID pass, enjoy some snacks courtesy of Potato Corner, Wilkins, and Pascual Yoghurt. Also, so I don’t have to line up at the registration area the next day.
The first thing I did was to join the only workshop I signed up for, the DIY Dreamcatcher! It was so much fun that I didn’t think to take a photo of me making my own dreamcatcher. I think it took me more or less 30 minutes to finish the smallest one. What's more is that after the workshop, we were given a new and bigger set of Dreamcatcher that we get to take home and do at home. There are other workshops too, like designing your own cake, calligraphy, and watercolor to name a few.

Next is the Mendhi tattoo. I opted not to avail it, so I gave my coupon to my sister instead. They have cute designs available to choose from.

But the best parts, of course, are the talks. BDJ really did their part in researching on what topics to discuss this year. It almost seems like the Goal Guru talks line up is made especially for me! My favorite is the Declutter for a happier you by Ms. Ayesa Aya. Her talk has taught me lots of things, now that I am also considering being more of a minimalist. She gave me a new insight on how to let go of things you don’t really need and how to choose what items to donate or to sell.

To make long story short, it was a pretty nice, enjoyable, and full of learning afternoon for me. I am also glad to share this day with my sister, and my friend, Racks, who happened to be the winner of my raffle giveaway by default. LOL

BDJ Launch Weekend: #DareToBeYou

I am the go-with-the-flow kind of person. I don’t normally plan anything, still I always find myself buying a Planner each year. I envy those persons who get to follow their daily/weekly/monthly plans on their planners, especially when they have a really cute one. Really, how do you do that?

It seems like I already have the answer to my own question, as Belle de Jour Power Planner will be having their first BDJ Launch Weekend this coming October 21-22, 2017! This year’s them is #DaretoBeYou in which the #GoalGurus will help you achieve your #2018Goals with style through different talks, activities, and workshops.

Just to give you an idea on what to look forward to at #BDJLaunchWeekend, I have narrowed down the talks, workshops, and activities that I find interesting. By the way, did I mention that by attending the BDJ Launch Weekend means you will be one of the first to get the BDJ Planners, at a special launch price? No? Well, now you know. You will get the planners with up to 20% off discount!

Going back, the first talk that I’m very curious about is the Bullet Journaling for Day to Day. As I said earlier, I’m a planner noob. I try my best to keep on track of my plans and create a stable system, but it’s hard. That is why this is a good opportunity for me and to those like me. Let’s get that #PlannerGoals!

Next is  Declutter for a Happier You. You will know instantly why I so need to attend this talk when you get to see how my room looks like. Everytime I try to clean and declutter my room, it seems like there’s no change happened. Marami pa ring tambak that I can’t let go. So yeah, I so need to be in this talk.

Fashion and Travelling come together, agree? We just have to have that perfect travel OOTD no matter what, and that’s why we have to be in Fashion for Confidence and Finding Yourself in Travel talks. After all, we all want our own #TravelGoals and #FashionGoals, right?

As for the other activities and workshops you’ll get to enjoy at the #BDJDareToBeYou Launch weekend, here are some that you might find fun to do.
The workshop I am most excited about is the Create Your Own Dreamcatcher, because where else would I get to do this? Calligraphy and Water Coloring is fun too.

Just looking at the activity line up of BDJ Launch made me think that it is going to be a very busy yet exciting weekend for me. There are three different kinds of passes – Launch Pass, Workshop Pass, and Talk Pass. Kindly refer to the photo below as what are the inclusions and prices of each pass.

Net proceeds raised from the event will go to our chosen cause. For more information, check out @bdjbuzz on Instagram, or Belle de Jour Power Planner on Facebook. Or visit www.ilovebjd.com

I hope to see you there!

P.S. I will be giving away one (1) BDJ Planner to my one lucky followers. Make sure that you follow me on Instagram (@mhishacuyson) to keep posted on the mechanics.

Belle de Jour Start Smart Event

I’ve been a fan of BDJ for two years now; and attending their events is so much fun. When I heard that there will be another Belle de Jour Rendezvous event this February, I did not hesitate to join and get myself an invite. This time they called their event “Start Smart”. And I want to share my experience after attending the said event.

BDJ start smart event was held has February 15, 1-5 pm at Ace Water Spa, Mandaluyong. Obviously, I was late and came around 2pm. They were already starting the games when I came in and the first talk is also done. Luckily, I got myself a chair in front that makes it easy for me to take photos.

Then the second talk started.
These two ladies are the girls behind Style Bible Ph. They shared their shopping and fashion tips. I really learned a lot about fashion and how you should properly pick the right clothes for you. “Mix & Match”, that was what they encourage us to do. Repeating your outfit is also good according to them; it’s just all about how you accessorize yourself. I really wanted to share more of their tips, but I’m afraid it’ll take a whole blog post to finish. J

Before we moved on to the next talk, there was also a game courtesy of Goody. See these girls, they were styling their hair and the one who will have the most number of votes will win. And then we ate.
After eating, I seize the moment to take pictures and my first stop was at Skinfood. I think you know why. LOL. These two girls from Skinfood were wearing a very pretty hanbok, they’re really nice and I enjoyed talking to them. They introduced to me the newest skin care product of Skinfood and I will post a review of that product soon. J

Mister Donut was at the entrance.

Canon photo booth. We had our photo taken here. Yay!

I Wish They Taught Money in High School was also there as the author of the book was the next person to do the talk.
I learned so much from Ms. Sharon. That also encouraged me to finish reading the book when I got home. If you want to know more about the book, read my review here.

Then the last and only man did the talk, Jose Gemora.
He teaches us the proper way to lose weight. That the common things we know is actually wrong about losing weight. Being fit is healthy and shares some secrets to have a healthy body. His talk was what I really enjoyed most because I really need tips as a beginner on how to start losing weight.

Of course BDJ did not let us go home empty handed, so I brought these gifts home with me. We also got a box of donut, but I forgot to take a picture of it since we already ate it. Haha.

I really enjoyed the event and got to meet new friends.

Start Smart with BDJ and live through 2014 without any regrets!

xoxo, M.

Everything Is Possible 2014 Planner

To start 2014, I wanted to do a short and quick overview of my Everything Is Possible 2014 Planner that I got from Viviamo! Inc., creator of Belle de Jour power planner. Before they sent me the planner, I was kind of hesitant what planner to buy, the one from Starbucks or the one from The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, and BDJ answered it right at the moment when my mind was going nuts! And here it is my 2014 Planner, Everything Is Possible!

Everything Is Possible is a 12-month planner that has 192 full-color smyhte-sewn pages, matte-laminated hard cover and expandable back pocket. You’ll also find Braille characters throughout its pages for the word possible.

EIP has simple yet attractive design. It’s not that girly compared to the Belle de Jour Power Planner but that’s the thing that catches my interest. Plus, all the lucky colors of the year is on the planner – blue, red, and green – cool right?

The photos below shows what includes in the planner.
•Special weekly layout for weekly priorities
•Mantras to keep you on-track in your mission
•Micro Actions that build up to success goals and priority list
•Index of goals
•Achievement arrow and positive poster
•Balance Wheel
•Year End Workbook

There‘s also 12-quotes every month that’ll help you to be more motivated with your goals. The planner has enough spaces for your daily activities and keep on-track your monthly habits and priorities.

I really like this planner! Maybe I will try the BDJ power planner next year because for EIP’s price of Php598.00, it really is worth it!

Make 2014 your year of POSSIBILITY.
Happy New Year, everyone! And may the Year of the Horse be ever in our favor! XD

xoxo,
M.
