L'Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara Review

How are ya my lazy girlfriends! Who here loves mascara? Well, this post is for you, because I will be reviewing the mascara that everyone has been raving about ever since it came out. The L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise is the mascara many beauty enthusiasts are swearing by. It’s not that I can blame them, this mascara is nice. Really nice.

Product Info

L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise

Price: Php350.00
Where to buy: Available in Lazada and in drugstores and department stores

Performance
I am no mascara expert; I don’t even wear mascara that much (I’m currently obsessing with eyelash extensions). During the days when I don’t have lash extensions on, L’Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara is one that I often use. Not on the holy grail level, but close.

L’Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara is housed in a pretty, and pink tube with gold accent – simple design, yet very catchy and can make a beautiful prop for a flatlay. Its brush is big with soft bristles that deposits a good amount of product to coat my thin lashes. I have small eyes so I really have to be careful when using this one if I want to have a clean finish without any smudges.

The application is rather smooth compared to other mascaras that I am currently using. Due to its 200+ bristles, two coats are enough to make my lashes visible. My lashes tripled in volume, but only a small difference in length. I care more on volume than length, so I don’t really mind. As long as it adds depth to my eyes, then I’m good.

The formula is thick yet lightweight. Still, I noticed that it can’t hold the curl longer than I expected it to be. Lash Paradise doesn’t clump or smudges under the eyes. Twelve hours is its maximum staying power and needed an oil-based makeup remover to fully remove it from the lashes.

Overall Rating: ★★★★☆ 3.5/5

Have you tried this mascara? What are your thoughts?

#ClayYourWay with L'Oreal Pure Clay Masks Review

One of my favorite things about skin care is how they are made differently. All products have their own specialization that makes our life, beauty junkies, much easier. Among the skin care items I own, masks are my favorites. They’re easy to use and packed with many benefits that a simple moisturizer has. You can pretty much say that I was very ecstatic when I heard that L’Oreal will be having their own Clay Mask line.  And it’s not just your ordinary clay mask, the world’s leading beauty brand just answered the prayers of the beauty mavens of every skin types to multimask through L’Oreal Paris Pure Clay Mask.

What I have here with me are the three variations L’Oreal Pure Clay Mask: L’Oreal Pure Clay Mask Illuminating, L’Oreal Pure Clay Mask Anti-Pores, and L’Oreal Pure Clay Mask Hydration.
Performance
All three have the same drying time, 10 minutes. They solidify quickly and wash off really easy. You don’t need to scrub your skin raw trying take it off, a lightly touch of water and it’ll start to wear off the skin. They are also lightly scented, each with different and relaxing smell. But if you are sensitive to fragrance, then you might want to reconsider using these masks. What I really like most about these clay masks is that they have their own skin mission – to illuminate, anti-pores, and hydration.

L’Oreal Pure Clay Mask Illuminating
Among the three, this is the only one with exfoliating properties. Since its main purpose is to take away the dead skin cells and build-up impurities, expect this mask to be a bit grainy in texture. Perhaps it’s because of the exfoliating beads that made it that way; don’t worry as it is not harsh on the skin. It actually feels nice when you use it after you remove your makeup.

While on my skin, it gives off a cooling sensation which is kind of relaxing. I can’t really say that it instantly brightens my skin, though. Yes, it does feel renewed, but definitely not brighter. What I notice, on the other hand, is how my skin feels smoother after I wash it off. Like the feeling when you just finished scrubbing and rinsing your face without having to actually scrub it onto your face. The effect also last the whole day or until I wash off my face again. Nice, eh?

L’Oreal Pure Clay Mask Anti-Pores
My skin is definitely not in its good condition for the past few months now. I get breakouts after breakouts and it’s making me insane on what to do about it. Or what I am doing wrong, per se. After going haywire from experimenting, this mask came in like an angel sent from above.

Nope, this is not the only product that did magic on my monstrous red bumps, but it did help big time. It dries quickly and you can actually see your pores tightening up as it dries. I like to use it after I exfoliate my skin (not the illuminating clay mask, but the actual face scrub); I also applied more over problem areas leave it on for at least 15 minutes before rinsing it off. Surprisingly, it works. It pretty much cleared up the breakout’s redness.

However, to those who have dry skin like moi, I suggest not to use it regularly (although I really want to). Maybe once or twice a week is enough because if you use it more than that, it will eventually remove the remaining oils in your face. And we don’t like that, don’t we?

L’Oreal Pure Clay Mask Hydration
Compared to the first two clay mask that looks dry, this one is on the water-y side. I expect as much because hello, it’s for hydration of the skin! Anyway, dry-skin peeps, you’ll surely love this one. For 10-15 minutes that I leave it on my face, the effect instantly shows.

After washing it off, my skin feels bouncy, soft, and intensely hydrated. It gives a dewy and glowing effect on my skin like I just drank 10 glassful of water. It draws out the oil of my face and replaces it with a new and healthier one – thanks to its Lemon Balm essential oil extract.  My skin will also stay hydrated until the next day, and since this one is for us, with dry skin type, I can use it every other day without hurting my skin. Ha!

Overall
These L’Oreal Pure Clay Masks are my go-to masks. They’re handy and definitely know what they are made to do. You may use them alone or all at the same time – they call it multi-masking. If you have different skin condition at different skin areas, then this one is certainly for you! Another plus is how big they are and will probably lasts me for another 6 months or so.

L'Oreal Infallible Collection Review & Swatches + Grand Launch Event

It gets tiring when a brand promises a long lasting makeup, but can’t withstand the heat and a long, busy day, right? For someone who barely has time to retouch her makeup, it is an essential to me that I have a long-wearing makeup that stays fresh all day. And I think I finally found the one I’ve been looking for in L’Oreal Infallible collection.

L’Oreal Infallible is a full range of #NeverFail makeup that answers every modern Filipina’s battle cry to fight makeup meltdown with a complete line of long-wearing makeup such as: Infallible 24HR Foundation, Infallible Pro-Matte 16HR Powder, Infallible 10HR Lipstick, and Infallible Pro-Spray & Set Makeup Extender & Setting Spray.

You are lucky today because I’ll be reviewing not one, but four Infallible products!

Infallible 24HR Foundation

Now that I think about it, this is my first foundation from L’Oreal. And I am glad that I get to try it first because I think I might have found my true foundation love. True to its claims, this foundation is sweat-proof, oil-proof, and transfer proof. I’ve been using it every day since I got my hands on it.

It is lightweight with medium coverage. The shade Golden Beige 140 is the perfect one for my skin tone. One layer is actually enough to provide an even skin tone and seamless and demi-matte finish. I like how it looks very natural on my skin too. It works well with dry skin as long as you keep your face well-moisturized before applying. It also does not accentuate the dry areas of my skin. I suggest applying another layer of the foundation if you want to cover the redness on your skin.

The thing that I am impressed about is its longevity. This foundation can stay fresh for up to 6-7 hours. Expect a little fading on the oily parts of the face, though, like the bridge of the nose, forehead, and chin. But it’s nothing a powder can’t fix. Infallible 24HR Foundation is powered by extreme hold pigments that adhere to skin, and hydrating hyalluron that gives optimum skin comfort.

Infallible Pro-Matte 16HR Powder

Of course the foundation will work best if it is set with Pro-matte 16hr powder. I haven’t used it alone, yet, so I can’t say for sure if it does live up to its claims. But then again, I used this powder to set my foundation enough to give you an insight.

This powder also has lightweight texture. It’s soft and blends evenly onto skin with a makeup brush or the applicator sponge itself. I prefer to use a brush, though. When using on top of a foundation, it works well and doesn’t cake or make it look flat at all. It can absorb excess oil and reduces shine without leaving the skin looking dry. I also noticed that it can look a bit powdery at first, especially when you apply, two or more layers, but settles into a more natural look soon after. The 16HR promise a bit dramatic, but I can vouch that this powder can hold a solid 4-5 hours of shine-free face. After all, you can always go for quick touch-ups.

Infallible 10HR Lipstick

Who doesn’t want a kiss-proof lipstick now that Valentine’s Day is around the corner, right? But L’Oreal Infallible 10HR Lipstick is anything, but kiss-proof. It is, however, food-proof, fade-proof, and dry-proof, sounds too good to be true? Well, it is TRUE!

The Infallible lipsticks have smooth and glides-on-smoothly texture. Packed with Vitamin E, these lipsticks will not let your lips go dry all day. It is much pigmented and the color payoff is just out of this world! The lipstick is also softer and creamier, which I think is the factor that makes it accentuated [if you have] dry and chapped lips so make sure to exfoliate first. The finish is a demi-matte with full coverage and can stay on really well all throughout the day even after meals. It also leaves a stain on the lips after all the lipstick is gone.

Infallible Pro-Spray & Set Makeup Extender & Setting Spray

Most people don’t know what the use of setting sprays is. If the powder sets the foundation, then setting spray basically sets everything up. This lightweight, oil-free spray can be applied after makeup over your face, eyes, and lips to lock in your whole makeup look. It ensures that your makeup stays fresh the entire day, and prevents melting, fading and smudging.

Truth be told, Infallible setting spray indeed adds more time in keeping my makeup intact and fresh all day. But what I really like about this spray is how it makes my whole makeup looking dewy and glowing. I mentioned earlier that the Infallible Pro-matte powder tends to have powdery finish, thanks to this spray; I don’t have to deal with that problem because it essentially helps the powder to settle right into my skin. This setting spray will surely complete your #NeverFail makeup look!
