L'Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara Review

How are ya my lazy girlfriends! Who here loves mascara? Well, this post is for you, because I will be reviewing the mascara that everyone has been raving about ever since it came out. The L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise is the mascara many beauty enthusiasts are swearing by. It’s not that I can blame them, this mascara is nice. Really nice.

Product Info

L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise

Price: Php350.00
Where to buy: Available in Lazada and in drugstores and department stores

Performance
I am no mascara expert; I don’t even wear mascara that much (I’m currently obsessing with eyelash extensions). During the days when I don’t have lash extensions on, L’Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara is one that I often use. Not on the holy grail level, but close.

L’Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara is housed in a pretty, and pink tube with gold accent – simple design, yet very catchy and can make a beautiful prop for a flatlay. Its brush is big with soft bristles that deposits a good amount of product to coat my thin lashes. I have small eyes so I really have to be careful when using this one if I want to have a clean finish without any smudges.

The application is rather smooth compared to other mascaras that I am currently using. Due to its 200+ bristles, two coats are enough to make my lashes visible. My lashes tripled in volume, but only a small difference in length. I care more on volume than length, so I don’t really mind. As long as it adds depth to my eyes, then I’m good.

The formula is thick yet lightweight. Still, I noticed that it can’t hold the curl longer than I expected it to be. Lash Paradise doesn’t clump or smudges under the eyes. Twelve hours is its maximum staying power and needed an oil-based makeup remover to fully remove it from the lashes.

Overall Rating: ★★★★☆ 3.5/5

Review: Egyptian Magic Cream

Magic? Does it really exist? Well, it sure does in Oz, but in reality? I don’t think so. The magic we know is not actually a magic; they’re tricks and illusions that a magician does without us knowing. But this magic cream that I will review today is different – it won’t make you invisible if that’s what you were thinking. No abracadabra, no nothing. Just the Egyptian Magic All-purpose Skin Cream.

Yumei Mise Inc. sent this to me for review purposes. I didn’t decline because I have tried the sample of this cream before and had a good impression on it. Plus, after reading a couple of positive reviews about this cream, I thought that I might as well try it again and write a decent review. ^^

Egyptian Magic All-purpose Skin Cream is made out of natural ingredients; probably the reason why this thing is quite pricey. Another thing is that there are no synthetic preservatives or synthetic fragrance added in it. Pure natural, as I what I’m saying.

The cream is placed in a white jar with a lid separator inside. How I wish that they included a spoon in the box too. Using your finger to scoop the cream is not so hygienic. Its box is really helpful; all the important details were written on the box.

Egyptian Magic All-purpose Skin Cream has a petroleum-jelly-like consistency. It has a thick, smooth, and oily texture that makes it easy to use and spread. It is also advised to rub it on your palm first until it takes the form of oil before application for better absorption. The smell is of olive oil and it’s greasy too. You only need a pea sized amount and it goes a really long way.

Apparently, this Egyptian Magic Cream has many uses. Based on my experience, this cream can be used for minor burns and cuts, diaper rashes, for pimples, for insect bites, as lipbalm, and works great on dry skin – on your elbows, knees, face, and feet, oh~ and even on the hair.

It’s a shame that I don’t have a photo of my hand burns that was healed because of this cream. But you can vouch on my word that after I got burned from cooking oil, I immediately applied Egyptian Magic Cream on the burned areas, and then the morning after, I didn’t hurt anymore! The redness was gone and it seems like the burn happened 3 days ago.

My 11-month old cousin is actually the one who is using this cream now. He tends to have diaper rashes every now and then on his sensitive parts. And just like magic, this cream works wonder on him!

I know that they are more uses of this cream to explore; Egyptian Magic Cream is for all-purposes skin cream after all. And I would love to update this post when this cream shows any more power of its magic.

Though I don’t think that this is meant to use it as a day-cream, not just because of its consistency, but it do takes some time to be fully absorbed into the skin. I’ve read this review that it is not advisable to use this cream to the already-out-there pimple as it will leave an acne scar. Other than that, I don’t have any complaint for this cream. It definitely works and heals like magic!

Review: Physiogel Cleanser

Cleansing is the most important part of every skin care routine. Finding the perfect cleanser for you really do take many products to try before you'd find the one. In my case, I have tried lots of cleansers from different brands; high-end and low-end. I admit that there are some that became my favorite, but as my skin condition adjusts to the climate and so is my cleanser. This time, though, is quite different, after I started to use Physiogel Cleanser; I realized that this has become my Holy Grail cleanser.

Physiogel has this uniform style of packaging - white, gray, and cream pink. But this time, their 300mL cleansers now have a dispenser pump included. You can either use it or not, depending on your own convenience.
Let me cut to the chase, I love this cleanser. And not just as my cleanser, but also as my makeup remover. It's actually my third bottle now.

Physiogel cleanser is very mild, non-scented, and gentle to the skin. If you are thinking that Physiogel is only for those who have a sensitive skin, then you are very wrong! Physiogel Cleanser is for everyone. As I mentioned earlier; cleansing is a very important part of every skin care routine, and Physiogel Cleanser is a best option for each one of us.

Physiogel Cleanser is hypoallergenic, soap free, and non-comedogenic cleanser. This can be used with or without water, which is very convenient for me as a student. That every moment that you feel like re-doing your makeup at school and you want to cleanse and remove your previous makeup – Physiogel is my best friend! I prefer using it without water, especially at night when I am too tired and wanted to lay on my bed immediately.

Talking about its consistency; every time that I massage it onto my face, it feels a little heavy but not that heavy, I should say that it has a medium consistency; not heavy or light. But I do love the clean feeling after a few seconds of using this cleanser.

This photo shows how Physiogel Cleanser works as a makeup remover.
As a makeup remover, Physiogel Cleanser is also good enough to remove all signs of makeup on my face. Although I do have difficulties removing some water-proof makeups at one swipe, it still cleans gently. You can always do a second round of removing anyway.

The good thing about Physiogel Cleanse is that it is safe to use on babies. It’s gentle and helps prevent acne breakouts. Moisturizes and cleanses the face and body really well and gives a healthy skin over long term use. Plus, it has natural lipids similar to the skin’s physiological lipids.

REVIEW | Covergirl Lashblast Fushion Mascara

Big and dolly eyes, I’ve always wanted to have that kind of eyes. With my short and straight-facing-down lashes, it seems impossible, yes? That is why I started to use mascara. Even though I do use mascara, it is always the one that I forgot to do when I’m doing my makeup. Despite of that, I want to introduce my new mascara, Covergirl Lashblast Fushion Mascara.

I got this Covergirl Lashblast Fushion Mascara as a swap for my used mascara during the last BDJ Box Beauty Social. Since then, I got really excited to try this one out.
With its purple and chubby packaging, I'd say that it is really cute. The packaging reminds me of the mascaras from Maybelline. It's not bulky and will easily fit in your purse. There aren't any design on the tube yet for me it is still pretty nice, yes? After all, Pantone is the color of the year, might as well grab any purple-ish items for luck!
The mascara wand, on the other hand, is not too long or too short, the length is just enough for my grip. There's nothing special with the bristles except for its tapered end. As I point out before, I am not really familiar with mascaras', just as long as they lengthen and add volume to my lashes, then, they will stay in my makeup stash.
The formulation is really impressive and I love it! Covergirl Lashblast Fushion Mascara gives enough length and volume to my lashes. It's very dependable and easy to use. Non-scented and is mild. Let me show you how this mascara works on my short and untamed lashes.

Because the end of the wand is tapered, obviously, the distribution of the product to the wand isn't equal. I don't really have a problem with that since the wand end is pretty friendly user for my lower lashes.
Just as I said, Covergirl Lashblast Fushion Mascara delivers length and volume. Plus, it dries up easily so you won't have to worry messing up your makeup. One coat for your everyday look and add one more coat to add a dramatic effect on the eyes. And, it removes very easily with my cleanser, no more oil-based makeup remover. This mascara is water-resistant and not water-proof that is why it is much easier to remove and you don't have to worry about hurting your eyes while removing it.

No issue of clumping, flaking, or smudging and it do stays all day! It seems as if I am wearing falsies, agree? Another fact about this mascara is that it separates my lashes well and I think the photos above speaks more than my words. Hmmm.. did I miss any? If I did, would you please let me know by commenting below and I'll answer them as soon as I can. ^^

REVIEW | Eyeliner Vintage Sticker

The perfect winged eyeliner, that’s the one that takes all of our time when doing our makeups, yes? It takes a lot of practice to master your dream cat-eyes look. But not this time when there is this product called eyeliner sticker. No more grip problems, though this Eyeliner sticker that I will be featuring has a small detail on it.

What I have here is a set of 4 of Eyeliner Sticker from Bornprettystore. The set includes two designs, an angel’s wing and a swirling something styles, two pairs each.

Before I start saying the good qualities of this product, let me first point out that this Eyeliner Sticker doesn’t have any glue that comes with it (unlike the ones from Etude House). Yes, you can still use it despite of that, yet, expect that the tip part of this Eyeliner sticker might easily detach from the inner eyelids. Another problem is that, well, it does not stick to well on my lids, or maybe because my lids are just too oily? Anyway, I don’t recommend using it under eyeshadow, I swear, it won’t stick at all.

Also, the eyeliner stickers are plastic! Plus, there’s this transparent bleeding part that is so obvious to the eyes. It doesn’t look good at all. My eyes are small and these stickers just don’t exactly fit my eyes and that makes it really difficult for me to put on. Or maybe I just don’t know how to properly use it? ^^

Now, for the good side of this eyeliner sticker, the designs sure are pretty. I began to think that maybe I just chose the wrong design for me. It’s really perfect for a photoshoot and to add a little more dramatic effect on your makeup. However, using this kind of eyeliner sticker might take too much effort to apply it to the eyes properly – let’s leave it in the hands of the professionals.

Since you can only get it for as cheap as 3 dollars, then, don’t expect much from it. Now, I should have really chosen that design no. 5 instead of this. I know for sure that that design will probably work better on my eyes than this one. J

REVIEW | Canmake Cream Cheek CL03

Have you found the perfect blush to give your cheeks the perfect and natural flush? Or maybe I should have asked if you ever try to find that certain makeup product? If you'd ask me those questions, then my answer is definitely a no, both no. Why? Let's just say that I am not that fond of any blush thing. Currently, I own three blushers, two cream types and one powder type. Canmake Cream Cheek is obviously the other one of my two cream type blushers. And if you ask me to choose between the two, I will definitely choose this one over the other.

My pioneer readers (if there are some) knew that I am Korean makeup enthusiast. If I am not mistaken, this is my first time reviewing a Japanese makeup brand. This cream cheek also happened to be my first product from Canmake.
If I fall in love with Korean-cosmetics, then the feeling is mutual with the ones from Japan. Canmake has this "kawaii" (a Japanese term for "cute") theme for their products. The packaging is really cute and girly. The cream cheek comes in this clear plastic material and designed like crystal. However, since the plastic is not that sturdy, I'm afraid the packaging would easily break when fell down. Still, this cream cheek sure is light-weight and really travel-friendly since it's very small and cute size.
Canmake Cream Cheek CL03 is a coral-pink shade, which is really perfect for my taste. It is not that pigmented compared to my Nyx cream blush, but I pretty much prefer this than the other. (Read Nyx Rouge Cream Blush Review here) Canmake Cream Cheek will definitely give you the natural flush without worrying of putting on too much cream on your cheeks. It's very subtle and you won't really need a major blending; with or without the use of your magical brush.

For the record, it is not sticky or anything like that. The finish is dewy and translucent. It lasted for about 5-6 hours on me and without caking or drying my skin. Canmake Cream Cheek looks very healthy and natural flush. You just have to re-apply more layers if you wish to add a little more color on your cheeks. I also tried to use it as a lip tint of a sort and unfortunately, it didn't work out. Hehe
Canmake Cream Cheek is the best choice to have a natural flush without too much effort. The stunning coral-pink shade will surely capture every girl's heart. Be it a date, a meeting, at work and school, put this cream cheek on your purse and you're good to go!

Review | Kiss Whitening Collagen Cream Mask

Has anyone heard of Kiss skincare whitening collagen cream mask? (that is a very long name, isn’t? lol) Well, I hadn’t heard of that product too not until Happy Hauler sent me an email offering me to try this product in exchange of my honest review. And since, I am a skin care product freak, I didn’t hesitate to agree. ^^
Let me talk about the packaging of Kiss skincare first. It comes in a 3D silver container and a white and pink box. I guess all important information that one should know about the product is all written on the box; except for where it is made. The container is also a pump type; pump the white thing and the cream will let out from the little circle thing at the top-center of the container.
Note from Happy Hauler
The cream is white and kinda thick, but it is easy to apply and spread throughout the face. It is also not sticky and takes a minute or two to be fully absorbed by the skin. It doesn't have an unpleasant scent, but I also can't say that it smells good. Ordinary, is the best word to describe it. (since I'm not really good on that aspect). I did a GIF file for you to see the consistency of the cream.

According to happy hauler, I should only use the kiss skin care collagen cream twice a week, and so I did. I don't really have an exact day on using this, but I do keep in mind that there must be a three-day interval. For example, I used the cream on Monday, and then I should use it again on Thursday. And oh, it is best to use it at night after toning for best results!
I am really impressed with this cream everytime I wash it off. It makes my skin smooth and soft. I've been using this for a month and a half now and I noticed that my skin became brighter and clearer. I should also say that it did whiten my. What's also good about this cream is that it didn't give me any breakouts. But the best thing is that it brought back the natural glow and flush of my skin. I want you to look closely at the photos of my skin above. Did you notice the pretty and natural flush of my cheeks? Hihihi. Sometimes, i don’t use any bb, cc, or foundation anymore before going out. A soft eyebrow and a lip tint will do!

Unfortunately, no product is perfect. There is always a downside. And kiss whitening collagen cream mask is no exemption to that. I noticed that the moisturizing property of Kiss skincare is not that good. One more problem is that it’s kind of expensive. Happy Hauler sent me the 15ml and it costs a thousand peso. A thousand peso for 15ml of the cream! Anyway, I think it's actually worth it. The 15ml cream will last for 2-3 months prior and the result is really visible. :)

REVIEW | Physiogel Lotion

Has sensitive skin? Or perhaps you want to have a well-moisturized skin? Physiogel Lotion, to the rescue! I know that I promised to review this one after I posted my January favorites post, but due to my heavy and hectic schedule these past few weeks; I wasn’t able to post anything even after I made a blogging schedule.

I am using this Physiogel Lotion for like 6 months now, and it’s my 4th bottle already. As some of you might now – or maybe because I always point it out – I have a dry skin. Physiogel Lotion is just, well, made for those who have a dry skin like me, and to those who have a sensitive one.
Physiogel lotion feels like water upon application. I’m not quite sure if this is a water-based lotion, but it definitely feels like one. No stickiness, no nothing. It will be absorbed by your skin the moment you spread and applied it onto your whole body and it’ll give your skin great moisture. The moisture last the whole day too! Physiogel lotion doesn’t have any fragrance yet it does smell clean.
There was this time when I had a skin irritation on my legs; it was itchy and kind of hurt when touched. Hesitant to apply any cream or ointment, I stick with my Physiogel Lotion. There was a slight stinging feeling after applying the lotion, but it only lasted for a minute or two (don’t worry, it’s bearable). The morning after, it got better! That is when I truly believe that Physiogel contains natural lipids similar to the skins physiological lipids for the daily care of dry and sensitive skin conditions.

And now that Physiogel is now cheaper than before, I recommend this lotion for you to try. It is available in all leading drug stores nationwide for only P649.00.

Maybelline’s Clear Smooth BB Trio Review

Weeee~ at last, I can finally post a product review! I had a very unstable internet connection last week and it’s good to have the connection back. With that said, I want to share the review of this bb trio of Maybelline – the bb cream, bb stick, and bb white. If you remember, I got this as a gift from Maybelline in exchange of helping them find the next Maybelline BB Cream Model. And I am probably the last to make this review out of all the bloggers who joined that challenge.

NOTE: These BB creams aren’t sold as a set but individually.
Maybelline Clear Smooth BB Cream SPF26 PA+++ 02 Natural
This BB Cream’s consistency is quite runny, which makes it easier to blend on the skin. The shade though, is a bit darker to my skin tone. But if you like the tanned effect, then I guess you will like this BB cream. It has enough SPF too, which is, well, every BB cream should have. The finish is semi-matte and that is so not good for me that have a real dry skin. This BB cream also accentuates the dry patches on my face. Coverage is light-to-medium and the staying power is not that good as it stays on my face for about 2-3 hours only.

Maybelline Clear Smooth BB Stick SPF21 PA+++
This is by far my most favorite among the three. Not just because of its user friendliness, I also love how it can easily spread and blends on my skin. It has a powdery finish that makes my skin smoother despite of me having a dry skin. If you will look at the swatches below, it looks like the shade is too white for me but it’s actually not. Surprisingly, it is the best match to my skin tone. Though the coverage is very light; I really like how natural it looks at me. Perfect for everyday use and it won’t look like you have applied any BB cream on your face. Staying power is 4-5 hours.

Maybelline Clear Smooth BB White SPF50 PA+++
For me, BB White is more of a tinted moisturizer. Despite of it has a very high SPF, it also gives enough moisture and hydration to my skin, which is what I always looking for any base makeup. It glides on smoothly upon application. The coverage is also light-to-medium depending on how many layers you’ll apply on your face. I got the same shades of BB Cream and BB White and I should say that both of them are one tone darker to my skin tone, but I don’t actually mind. What really amazes me is the moisturizing property of this one, I mean the finish is not dewy at all but I can really feel that my skin is well-moisturized. Staying power is 2-3 hours in this humid weather.

These three BB’s are indeed different in their own way, but there are few aspects that make them sisters. BB Cream, BB Stick, and BB White are both lighter than any other bb products I have tried so far. They have the same scent which, of course, I can’t explain. (Scent is not my field of expertise) And lastly, they are all made by Maybelline New York.
