Eau Thermale Avène Micellar Lotion Review + Event Photos

Did you ever feel like going straight to your bed after your long day at school or work? But then you realized that you still have your makeup on? I know, right?

Due to my late schedule in school, I always end up going home later than usual. And when I get home, all want to do is lie on my bed and go to sleep. However, I should at least remove my makeup before anything. If I am wearing a waterproof eyeliner and mascara, removing it will take a few more minutes. I have to grab my oil-based makeup remover, and wash my face afterwards (and wash away my sleepiness altogether). But now that Eau Thermale Avène Micellar Lotion has a new No rinse formula, two minutes is all I need to completely remove and clean my face!
Eau Thermale Avène’s New Formula Micellar Lotion has a top-of-the-line makeup removing efficacy. Its micellar cleansing agent captures skin impurities like a magnet. It is proven effective on waterproof and long-lasting cosmetic products applied on the face, eyes and lips. Its upgraded Micellar Lotion has a unique formula that adapts to even the most sensitive skin.
Avène Micellar Lotion, although not oil-based, can remove even the most stubborn makeup you have and does not feel sticky at all. Now that it has a new formula, you don’t have to rinse it after removing your makeup. It has 93% Avène Thermale Spring Water content that makes the skin softer, smoother, and restores its natural balance.

Because my makeup focuses on the eyes, this is the part that I remove first. Remember: Don’t just swipe your eye makeup remover in haste. Place a cotton ball with remover over your lids, hold it for a minute to dissolve the product, and then wipe away.
Four to five drops of Avène Micellar Lotion is enough to remove my eye makeup. I usually have a hard time removing my eyeliner (because of I always tight line my eyes), but with Avène Micellar Lotion, I can get all the eyeliner on my eyes in two swipes. No traces of makeup left.
Another strong point of Avène Micellar Lotion is that it doesn’t sting. So, if ever you use too much of the micellar lotion, you won’t feel anything, especially on the eye area. It also contains healing properties—soothing, anti-irritating and anti-inflammatory, as well as anti-free radicals—that make it suitable for allergic reactions, burning, stinging, itching and tingling sensations.

With Avène Micellar Lotion, I don’t have to worry about my skin being dry after cleansing, because of its hydrating action. It’s really perfect during lazy days, when you don’t want to get up and wash your face, this Micellar lotion will do the cleansing and moisturizing for you.

I thought you might want to see a few photos during the launching of Avène Micellar Lotion at Salon Beauvior in Makati.

New & Improved Myra VitaSmooth and VitaWhite Facial Wash

When it comes to facial wash, I’m quite picky. It’s not because my skin is sensitive, but for me, cleansing is the most important in every skin care routine. You have to choose the best that matches your skin type and condition. In my case, I needed something that will hydrate my skin (I have a dry skin, FYI).  And Myra facial wash is just what I’m looking for.

Myra released a new and improved facial wash that comes in two variants: Myra Vitasmooth and VitaWhite. These facial washes are enriched with antioxidant Vitamin E beads which protects and nourishes skin to help keep it healthy with a youthful glow.
Myra VitaSmooth Hydrating Facial Wash (I like it better than the other). It has Moisture Plus formula that retains and seals in skin’s natural moisture, keeping it hydrated and more supple. This facial wash contains French Spring Sea Water and Aloe Vera Extract that improves skin elasticity and helps keep it smooth and young-looking. It doesn’t make my skin dry after every wash. I would have like it more if it’s foamier. This works best for those who have dry skin, trust me. J

And Myra VitaWhite Whitening Facial Wash. If you want to have a whiter skin, then this is for you. It has Biowhite Complex, which is derived from plant extracts that gently whitens skin. And Niacinamide that evens out skin tone by reducing red blotches to make skin more radiant.
Both of these facial wash surely are a good and affordable choice. They deeply cleanse the skin and rids it from dirt and excess oil while maintaining the skin’s natural moisture to help keep it healthy, soft, and young-looking. Plus, they smell really nice!

Review: Krave Cupine Aloepa Facial Wash with Mulberry Leaves

Cleansing is the most important part of our skincare routine. Choosing the right cleanser depends on what our skin needed. There are several types of cleansers and the most popular is facial wash. I want to share this facial wash that is affordable and quality-wise, the Krave Cupine Aloepa Facial Wash.

As I have mentioned in my previous Krave’s product reviews, all their products are made of natural ingredients. Cupine Aloepa stands for Cucumber- Pineapple-Aloe vera-Papaya with Mulberry leaves extracts. A breakthrough in facial wash that solves your major skin problems like oily skin, acne prone skin, dry, dull and dark skin, wrinkling, ageing & blemished skin.

I am currently using three cleansers. My daily cleanser, makeup remover/cleanser, and weekly cleanser. I know it’s weird, but that’s just the way I want it. Before you ask it, I don’t have an OCD. This one is my daily cleanser.

Krave Cupine Aloepa Facial Wash has a fruity-citrus scent and is very refreshing. It’s not foamy so some of you might not like it. I had this feeling when I first used it that maybe I used not enough product since it doesn’t bubble much then realized that it’s just like that.

My sister used to use it too, but stopped after a few days because it gave her breakouts. On the other hand, this works fine for me. It cleanses my face well and leaves no makeup residue (except eye makeups).

As for my skin's improvement, I don't really notice anything new. What I do notice is that this facial wash is really good in removing excess oil and dirt on the face. According to my sister, who used this facial wash as well, is that this is a very nice product. She has a very oily skin and her skin is less oily after every wash. Too bad that it gave her a breakouts on her forehead.

Overall, if I would rate it, I will give this one a 3.5 star out of 5. Krave Cupine Aloepa Facial Wash has no SLS, no paraben, and no irritating chemicals.

REVIEW | iWhite Moisturizing Facial Wash

Who can live without facial wash/cleansers? *raise hands* Me! I should at atleast have two or three tubes backup cleansers in my skincare cabinet. I am one of a skin-care-freak, yeah! lol and honestly I have tons of them to the point that I don't know anymore what to use first. Maybe that is also the reason why I usually crave for makeups. (Is crave the right word? haha) Today, i'd like to introduce my new cleanser buddy. iWhite Korea's Moisturizing Facial Wash.

PRODUCT INFO:

Brand: iWhite Korea
Name: Moisturizing Facial Wash
Net Wt: 70ml / 10ml - Sachet
Price: PHP139.00 / PHP18.00
Where to Buy: Watson's and in other Drug Stores Nationwide

Expiration date is embossed on the top side of the tube. All informations is written in English too.

The packaging of  iWhite Moisturizing Facial Wash is way too simple. It comes in a white and purple tube and has a seal to prevent the product from spilling out. Despite of its simple-ness, I still like it. Why you say? well, I think you don't need a cuteness-overload packaging for your cleanser since it will only stay inside your bathroom and wouldn't even bring it with you whenever you go out. Unless you're a girl-scout! lol. It's not very bulky too so if ever you have an overnight outing, this cleanser can take a small space in your toiletry. :)

VERDICT:

iWhite Moisturizing Facial Wash has a white, creamy and foamy texture. It's very rich and has a mild lavender scent, not overwhelming yet relaxing. Compared to my previous cleansers, this one is my favorite scent.

Ever since our first semester started, my skin became dry, that also means that i have to replace some of my skin care products since most of them are for oily skin types. But for me, cleanser and toner is the most important thing on my routine. Yes, you have a good moisturizer but at the same time, your toner and cleanser is no good and that makes your moisturizer useless too; cleanser>toner>moisturizer should be balance to have a nice skin.

That what makes  iWhite moisturizing facial wash special. It cleanses my face very well, it leaves no signs of dirt or makeup left-overs on my skin (unless you were wearing a heavy eye makeup). Sometimes I wonder, Do i still need to tone?. I notice that the dryness of my skin is slowly improving after 2 weeks of usage. It cleanses and at the same time moisturizes my skin, and I love it! You know the feeling like you already moisturized your face just after you cleanse? It leaves a smooth and soft finish on my skin.

I really recommend this facial wash, not just for those who have a dry skin like mine but to all. With just Php139.00 you will get a 70ml product already that will last for a month, depends on how many times you cleanse.

Lancôme Bi-Facil Non Oily Instant Cleanser

Remember when we attended the Lancôme Hypnose Show by Albert Elbaz event (click here to know more about the event) a couple of months ago? I mentioned there that I got to take home 2 sets of freebies. Those sets include this one, a sample of Lancôme Bi-Facil Non Oily Instant Cleanser.

Honestly, I used it three or four times only ever since I got this makeup remover. Not just because I still have a lot left of my Skin Food Milk Shake Point Make-up Remover but I'm saving the best for last. With that limited times of usage, I should say that I can already give you a reliable review of this product. This'll be a short and quick review though, since the one I have is only a sample.

PRODUCT INFO:

 BRAND: Lancôme
NAME: Bi Facil Non Oily Instant Cleanser (sample size)
NET Wt: 15ml(sample) 125ml(full size)
MADE in FRANCE
PRICE: Around USD21.00
WHERE to BUY: Refer to Lancôme Philippines Facebook for their branches

DESCRIPTION: Suitable for all skin types, even sensitive and contact lense wearers.
Rediscover purity. Your skin breathes, naturally beautiful. For all types of make-up, including waterproof.
Suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.
This make-up remover for sensitive eyes removes all traces of eye make-up immediately and gently, with no oily residue. By combining the effects of its oily phase and water phase, it gently eliminates all traces of make-up, even water-resistant.

If you will research this on google, you will see that this sample is so much look alike of its full size. It's in a sturdy little plastic tube and a grey lid with the logo of Lancôme embossed on it. It's cute, in short lol.

A little goes a long way. With this amount of product, it can totally remove all the makeup I have on. So basically, the sample will take me a long time to finish.

These eye liners are the ones that are so hard to remove by my current makeup remover. They are smudge & water proof. And as you can see on the third photo that after I first swiped it, the makeup is almost gone, but there was a remaining purple lines on my outer eye.

After I swipe it again, tadaa~ no more eye makeup onsight. It's completely clean!

VERDICT: I only removed my eye makeup yet if you will look closely, you will notice that there is still a lot left on the cotton. And I swear that it'll remove all your remaining makeups. You don't have to harshly rub your eye in order to remove all your makeup. Has a mild floral scent and very calming sensation; not cold and not hot either. It's just as if you mix a tiny drop of oil with water. Unlike some oil based makeup removers that makes your eyes blur when removing your makeup, expect it not to happen with this one. No irritation, no anything! There might be a little oily feeling after usage but it can easily remove by wiping it with any dry cloth/tissue/cotton.

This 15ml sample of Bi-Facil Non Oily Instant Cleanser will probably take me a half or a month to finally empty it. Since I have two of this, then I guess there won't be a makeup remover shortage here for almost two months.

What is your current make-up remover?

REVIEW | Tosowoong Detail Clean Pore Brush

WARNING!!!! Picture heavy!
This is yet again another product that Wishtrend had sent me for review purposes. I have always been so curious on how does those brush cleanser works or how they differ by using the usual cleansing method by hands. I took the opportunity to try and review this Tosowoong Detail Clean Pore Brush and share with you how this thing works perfectly.

PRODUCT INFO:

BRAND: Tosowoong
NAME: Detail Clean Pore Brush
MADE in KOREA
PRICE: USD25.00
WHERE to BUY: Wishtrend

PACKAGING:    The brush comes in this neat and simple box but all written in Hangeul except of course the name of the product. It is a brush anyway so I don't need much of informations.

The handle is a very sturdy plastic, it'll gives a perfect grip on your hands to cleans your skin perfectly. Plus point for its attached small rope to hang the brush after using. :)

This is the brush itself, as you can see the bristles looks super soft because they really are. Super dense and super fluffy almost feels like fur~ ♥ I actually love to hold this brush and think if maybe I could use it as a makeup brush. Hahah! It's super duper soft!

And this is how the brush looks like when its wet and when there is a cleanser on it. You can see that it really gave a super foamy effect of my foam cleanser that I haven't seen my entire life. Haha. Even when wet, I'd say that the brush still is super soft and fine. You'll really feel that a bunch of fur is touching and cleaning your skin. :)

VERDICT:    If I am not mistaken, there are 31 thousand bristles with 0.045mm in size, with that size and number of bristles, I think that that is enough to clean the insides of the pores and remove the dirt completely that normal cleansing using hands can't do.

After cleansing with Tosowoong clean pore brush, it leaves a smooth feeling on my skin. It also helps remove sebum and dirt in my pores. Does not entirely remove blackheads though but you'll see that it lessen its visibility.

I cleanse thrice or twice a day and I noticed that everytime I uses this brush, there are some little skin peeling on the sides of my nose, its actually not that obvious but if you'll look closely you will definitely notice. So, if you ask me if this brush exfoliates dead skin, then my answer is YES! :)

The only downside of this brush is that it takes 2 days to dry. Yeah, 2 days~! But before freaking out, remember that this brush has 31 thousand bristles with the size of 0.45mm each, so... I think that it'll really take time to fully dry. Also, no English translation, pricey & not available locally.

Overall Rating:    4/5
