Klairs Soft Airy UV Essence SPF50 PA++++ Review

Summer is truly here, and one thing that we shouldn’t skip is putting on sunscreen. Most of us skip this part of their daily skin care and makeup routine but that’s because they haven’t found the right and best sunscreen. I’ve had my fair share of sunscreens and when one of my favorite brands – dear Klair’s – released theirs, I know I have to have it.

Quick Review of Klairs Supple Preparation Unscented Toner

If there’s one thing I cannot skip in my skin care routine, it’s the toner. I’ve had my fair share of toners, and one of my favorites is Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner. It’s loaded with amino acids, removes the remaining impurities from cleansing while balancing the pH level of the skin. It sounds almost too perfect, yes. Then again, even the best product may not work for some. So, Klairs decided to raise their game by developing a new toner that will suit any skin type and condition – the Klairs Supple Preparation Unscented Toner.

The main difference between the two are that the unscented packaging has changed from a brown bottle to a transparent bottle to match the theme of the no essential oils. In addition, there is a beautiful purple and a silver color theme for a newer, fresher, and sleeker feel to the product. 

Performance

Clears Supple Preparation Unscented Toner has a thicker consistency than the original one. It is almost gel-like and yet still managed to be lightweight when applied on the skin. I am quite intrigued with it being unscented because it sort of have, but I can’t really put my finger on it. I don’t mind, though

I don’t have a sensitive skin, but my skin is quite dry, and this toner was able to keep my skin from dry patches all day. Of course, with the help of my other skin care products. The difference with using Klairs Supple Preparation Unscented Toner is that it absorbs quickly, hydrates intensely, and makes my skin well-moisturized even before I put on a moisturizer.

Jungle Botanics Forest Leaves Cooling Shampoo and Warming Treatment Review

For someone who has a dry and chemically damaged hair, it’s hard to find the right shampoo. Because of that, I always jump from brand to brand of shampoo and conditioner. I’ve had my fair share of a good hair products – don’t get me wrong, but I still haven’t found the one. That’s why I was so excited to try this new hair care line of Wishtrend; it’s called Forest Leaves by Jungle Botanics.

Forest Leaves Cooling Shampoo and Forest Leaves Warming Treatment are both silicone-free and phlathate-free. Instead, it has a combination of natural ingredients and plant extracts called the Amazon Forest Complex that ensures a healthy scalp and safe hair cuticle conditioning. 

Forest Leaves Cooling Shampoo

According to Wishtend, it is a hypo-allergenic shampoo and is meant for sensitive and oily hair and scalp. I’m not really sure if I have a sensitive scalp, but I am sure that it is certainly not oily. I kind of pray for a little oil to be honest, that’s how dry my hair is. Still, I dig the cooling effect, so whatever.

The menthyl capsules are the one responsible for the cooling sensation and the less itchiness of my hair. I find it a little drying, though, especially when I am rinsing it out. At first I thought that it might have removed the teeny tiny oil my hair has, but it feels so nice, clean and fresh afterwards. Soon I found out that because of its slightly acidic formula, I don’t have to worry about the pH balance of my hair.

However, I don’t use it every day. As much as I would love to, I think that it should be used to deep cleanse the scalp which is so not for daily use. Perhaps this would work perfectly for those with oily hair. Though, I am a fan of the fragrance of this shampoo. It smells like peppermint.

Forest Leaves Warming Treatment

See the logic of their names? The shampoo is to cool down the hair while the treatment is to warm it up. They’re a team; these two should always come together. I didn’t realize it until I was writing this review, honestly. Anyway, it is perfect for extremely dry and damaged hair (my kind of treatment). It has Pracaxi fruit and Brazilian nuts that are rich in antioxidants and also avocado oil, Argan oil, camellia oil and other nutrient-rich oils to give back moisture to dry and damaged hair.

Don’t get this wrong you people, this is not a mere conditioner but a hair treatment. Wishtrend says to leave it on for at least 5-10 minutes, so I did just that. Actually, the longer the longer you leave it on, the better. I noticed the difference between after rinsing the shampoo and rinsing the treatment because my hair really is softer and smoother. It feels lighter and bouncy as well.

There is no warming effect, though, but it does its job keeping my hair smooth and manageable throughout the day. The moisture it gives to my hair is just superb!

Overall

I’d say that these two are a great tandem. The shampoo deeply cleanses the scalp and hair while the treatment gives back its natural moisture. If I were to choose between the two, it would definitely be the Forest Leaves Warming Treatment as it gives justice to my super dry and damaged hair.

Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Sheet Mask Review

I don’t know about you, but I always make sure that I have sheet masks in stock. Sheet masks are my go-to skin care product. They have all you need in one, except of course, a cleanser.  I have tried many brands but this one from Klairs really is my favorite. There’s this article that I’ve read saying that Koreans secret to their beautiful skin is that they uses sheet mask every day! I guess they’re right. 

 Klairs Soothing Mask replenishes moisture, nourishes, controls the oiliness of the skin, and is gentle and soothing. What I really noticed about Klairs Soothing Mask is the amount of serum inside. I think there’s at least 15-20mL of serum in one pack. Yeah, this mask is serum overload.

I keep the mask on my face all night because I don’t want to waste even a bit of the serum. So, the normal 10-20 minutes will take longer with this mask. I recommend to use it when you are about to go to sleep so you won’t have any uncomfortable circumstances. Or perhaps watch a movie, lie down, and remove the sheet mask when the movie is over. Always work with me. 

I find the sheet mask quite big yet sufficiently treat the entire face. The highly qualified cotton sheet is maintained to keep skin looking healthy, young, and vibrant. And feels really good when put in the fridge before usage. ^^

You don’t have to wash your face after removing Klairs Soothing Mask. My skin always feels softer, calmer, and replenished after. I can’t really vouch the oil-control part, though, since I have dry skin. Hydrating would be an understatement for this sheet mask.

That's why I'll give this mask a 5/5 stars!

Review: Klair's Cleansing Combo (Oil & Sugar Polish)

Did I mention before that I am using three different cleansers? I know that I am down with the first two and this cleansing combo is the last one. It's from the Korean skincare brand that I really love, Klairs. I've been using Klairs toner and cream since forever and I super love how it make my skin really good!

Now, Wishtrend once again gave me the opportunity to try their best-selling cleansing combination from Klair's. The Klairs Gentle Black Deep Cleansing Oil and Gentle Black Sugar Facial Polish are Klairs best cleansers!

Klairs packaging is always simple yet cool. The name of the products justifies the packaging of these two (not that it really matter, tho). We all know how Koreans products always have a cute, and weird (in a good way) packaging.

The Klairs Gentle Black Deep Cleansing Oil comes in a tall-pump type packaging while the Klairs Gentle Black Sugar Facial Polish is in a small jar container. Tip: always use a spatula to scoop the scrub to avoid the germs getting in the product. And it is more hygienic that way!

 The cleansing oil has an herbal scent, and I like it a lot! It's very relaxing and doesn't feel heavy on the skin. Honestly, this is my first cleansing oil, so I don't really know what to expect with its texture and consistency, but I always thought that cleansing oils can be really greasy. Klairs cleansing oil is an exemption, though.

The facial polish is a brown paste with grainy sugar in it. The consistency is like of a butter. What I don't like about this is the strong herbal scent. You can either use it as exfoliator by mixing it with water, or with the cleansing oil. I don't recommend using this scrub alone, especially to those who have a sensitive because of the sugar polish texture. Here's the cleansing combo in action:

I was not wearing a heavy makeup on this photo, but as you can see, my face looks really clean after. I always prefer to use them together because it better works that way. And when they're working together, they don't just cleanse your face, but also exfoliate, and moisturize it at the same time. Both the Cleansing Oil and the Sugar Polish is gentle on my skin. They don't leave my skin greasy or dry at all. My skin feels so smooth and soft afterwards too. No wonder they're called the best combo of Wishtrend.

I recommend this to everyone who are looking for a new cleanser and exfoliator to try. They’re cheap too, and you can use it for at least 3-4 months if used regularly!

REVIEW | MUA Fabulous Everyday Star Cream

The answer is a big N-O. Just in case you will be asking if this “MUA” is the same the “MUA as in Make Up Academy”. I got confused at first too, but after researching, they really are two different brands. This MUA is made in Korea and the other MUA is from the UK. And if you ask me what might be the meaning of the Korean “MUA” then I’m sorry because I don’t have a clue what it is. LOL

I know that you are already familiar with this product since I did host a giveaway and MUA Star Cream is the prize. (Hi, winner! I hope you’re enjoying/enjoyed your own star cream) Anyhow, I got this Mua star cream last year and use it early this year. Of course, from my ever loving sponsor, Wishtrend; they sent this to me for review purposes.

 MUA Fabulous Everyday Star Cream really is a cool name, yes? And it comes in this black tube with white writings and of course, a star. But unlike any normal skin care products places in a tube, MUA Star creams takes it to the next level by including a three metal ball rollers on the mouth of the tube that will act as the applicator of the cream. With those ball rollers, you can easily apply it onto your face in a star's motion. See photo above. The rollers make the cream cold when applied on the skin.

MUA Star cream is more of a gel than a cream to me, but it doesn’t have a runny consistency. It’s clear and has shimmers, seriously. Not shimmers like the ones you see in an eyeshadow, FYI. The shimmers are barely noticeable, so no need to worry. It has this sweet-floral scent and is really relaxing. No stickiness and absorbs pretty quick within a seconds.

What does it promise? MUA says that it’s an anti-wrinkle and whitening. Before I say anything about this cream’s effectiveness let me just say that I am still young, 20 years-old to be exact, and so I won’t say anything about its anti-wrinkle property. And if ever I’m still using it after 6-10 years, then I’ll be happy to give you an update. Hihihi ^^

How’s the whitening property? It didn’t work on me. BUT, (yes, I’d have to capitalize it) I like this product. Why? Because it moisturizes, and hydrates my skin really well. It makes my skin really smooth and soft that my BB cream will glide on really easy to my face. It can act as your primer too, because it will lessen the visibility of your pores and puffiness of the eyes as well.

MUA Star Cream really is a good product to try. Although, the whitening property did not work to me, it doesn't mean that it won't work on you as well. We all have different skin conditions and if you have the budget, then try this! Who knows? This could be your HG product. ^^

REVIEW | ElishaCoy Always Nuddy CC Cream

Remember my post on how to achieve the Korean-like glow? If yes, then this is somehow like a part two of that. ElishaCoy Always Nuddy CC Cream is the cream version of their cc cushion.(see Achieve the Korean-like glow post here) This once again was sent to me by Wishtrend for review purposes. I know that this review is way long overdue already, but better later than never, right? :)

Recently, I haven’t used too much cream on my face, whether it’s a BB cream, foundation, or cc cream. I don’t know why, but I just settle with baby powder these days. Then I remembered that I have lots of bb, cc creams to review and decided to prioritize this ElishaCoy Always Nuddy CC Cream.

VERDICT:

Elisha Coy has a uniform packaging. Although the color might be different still, you will notice how each of them looks alike. Or maybe it’s just for their bb and cc cream so correct me if I am wrong, please. J It is also good that whatever’s written on the box is also written on the tube. How I wish that they include the list of ingredients.

ElishaCoy Always Nuddy CC Cream comes in a slightly bulky tube, which is very typical for any cream type products. But what really amazed me is that the color of the tube is actually the color of the cream itself. From white to cream color, just like how cc cream changes its color after blending. See that? Plus the gold lining and cap gives the elegant look. Yeppuda!

Moving on to the swatches..

The coverage is quite good, medium-to-heavy depending on how many layers you want to apply. Lightweight on skin and blends on easily. If I were to choose if the cream or the cushion type, I will choose the cushion type. It is more natural than the cream. ElishaCoy Always Nuddy CC Cream is too white for me, so one-layer is enough or else, I will look like a pale ghost. LOL But I think that it suits well to those who have fair complexion.

Still, the dewy finish really is great! Though there’s a bit of stickiness, it’s tolerable. No unpleasant scent and pure natural ingredients. I also noticed that it accentuate the dry area of my skin, particularly on my nose. Other than that, I have no problem with this cream.

Staying power of ElishaCoy Always Nuddy CC Cream is impressive. It stays on for about 6-8 hours without any use of primer, just remember to set it with a good powder and you're good for hours without a need to re-touch.

I have a very dry hair before. Remember when I posted something about perming then coloring my hair that really damaged my hair? VERDICT:

I’ve been using this Argan gold treatment for more than a month now. During the first two consecutive days, I used it daily then twice a week after that. You have to use it just like your regular hair conditioner, but leaving it on your hair for a couple of minutes more is much better before rinsing it with water.

The product itself has a yellowish color and a sweet coconut and floral scent. I really like how its scent stays on your hair the whole day. It’s not strong and overwhelming. You’ll really feel relaxed while massaging it onto your hair.  Also, the fact that it has oil doesn’t necessarily mean that it’ll make your hair feel oily. Honestly, it is very light on hair and very easy to rinse; unlike other hair treatment creams that takes forever to be removed on hair.

Here’s a before and after photo of my hair after 3 weeks of usage of Argan Gold Treatment.

It is obvious that my hair becomes really healthy and straighter. I really like how this Argan gold treatment provides nutritious and healthy hair. My hair feels much smoother and softer than before. Although there are some parts that are still dry, but nothing can a hair condition could handle. It does reduce frizziness of my hair and helps it become really manageable.

But what really amazed me is that this hair treatment enhance the vibrancy and shine of my colored hair. And that this Argan gold treatment truthfully treat and penetrates the hair more deeply to nourish and repairs damaged. 

I really recommend this Argan Gold Treatment to those who are suffering with damaged hair. This hair treatment will be your forever hair buddy! =D
