PeriPera Airy Ink Velvet Tints Review

This review is probably way long overdue but better late than never, right? Hihi. I’ve had these PeriPera Airy Ink Velvet Tints for quite a while now. I got one from Althea Korea while the other one was from Charis.  If you are looking for a lip tint with just the right pigment, subtle color, and perfect for everyday use, then this is the tint for you!

Product info:
Product Name: PeriPera Airy Ink Velvet Tint
Price: Php420.00 each
Where to buy: Althea Korea or CHARIS

I have the shades #2 Pretty Orange Pink and #8 Glimpse Brick Brown. The color of these two suits for daily makeup look. The #2 Pretty Orange Pink has a pinkish coral shade while #8 Glimpse Brick Brown is more on a reddish-brown shade. I got these tints at a different time, and my choice of shade was actually affected by my current mode. Back when I got the #2 Pretty Orange Pink I was feeling like I don’t have any coral shade lip products in my stash and although I want to choose a pinkish shade, I chose #2 instead. The same thing happened when I decided to get another shade.

Performance
The first time I used PeriPera Airy Ink Velvet, the first thing that comes to my mind was it feels like I’m using a cloud on my lips. It’s so soft, like tiny, little bubbles was put together and made into these lip tints. To put it simply, it’s like a whipped mousse. LOL
One thing is weird, though. The color pigmentation of the two changes once applied on the lips. Pretty Orange Pink has subtle color that you have to reapply another layer to build up the color. On the other hand, Glimpse Brick Brown, although light in color, is much pigmented than the other. It’s also a bit greasy which the #2 isn’t.

In terms of longevity, #2 Pretty Orange Pink last longer than #8 Glimpse Brick Brown as it leaves a stain on the lips which stays for almost the whole day. Still, it doesn’t change the fact how pretty these tints are.

Overall
PeriPera Airy Ink Velvet is not so bad. The color payoff is buildable and really pretty. This is actually my go-to lip tint during my lazy days (which is every day) since I can also use it as blusher. I can pretty much bring it anywhere too thanks to its cute and small packaging. If there’s one thing for these tints to improve, it’d be the longevity. Such nice colors should stay longer, right?

Review | Peripera Pearly Night Inklasting Lavender Cushion #3 Sand

Have you ever bought something just because it looks pretty? Well, I have (many times). One of these ‘purchases’ is Peripera Pearly Night Inklasting Lavender Cushion. Come on guys, who can’t resist something this pretty with its shining shimmering splendid case? I don’t know about you, but anything that shimmers are done deal to me. But of course, we don’t want just something that pretty outside, it has to be something on the inside as well, right?

Product Info

Peripera Pearly Night Inklasting Lavender Cushion #3 Sand
Price: PHP720.00
Where to buy: Club Clio PH

Packaging

Hands down, this cushion has one of the prettiest packaging I’ve seen so far. It has this waterfall thing going on, but instead of just water, they added glitters in it to make it even more magical looking. And man, how Peripera nailed it.

Anyway, the cushion case itself is quite bulky and heavy. Perhaps it’s because of the extra weight of the water from the packaging. And just like any cushion, it also has this extra layer that separates the puff from the cushion itself. Every Hangul written on the box has its corresponding English translation, so you don’t have to guess what’s written on it. Aesthetics aside, the puff handle broke easily; during the third time I used it, the handle of the puff (where Peripera is written) snapped. Now, I have trouble using its own puff to use the cushion. Sayang!

Performance

My first concern about this cushion is the shade. I chose the darkest shade they have which is #3 Sand and prayed that I made the right choice since the majority of Korean cushions have lighter shades that doesn’t fit Pinay’s morena skin. Thankfully, Sand is just the right shade for me. It’s still a bit lighter than my preferred shade, but nothing a setting power cannot fix.
Peripera Pearly Night Inklasting Lavender Cushion has a medium to heavy coverage. What I noticed though, is that the more layer you apply, the more lighter it gets. Still, one layer is enough to cover my skin pigmentations and redness around my nose rather well. You can see how flawless the finish looks like and very Koreana too! Not the glass skin like I expected it to be, but dewy enough to make my skin looks well-moisturized.
Also, at approximately 3 or 4 hours later, I can start feeling the heaviness of this cushion on my face. Take note that I spend most of my day in our office with air-conditioning, yet I can still feel how heavy it is (and I only apply one layer). I am not saying that this will be the case for everybody since we all have different skin conditions. By the way, I have a very dehydrated skin, and I noticed that any base makeup with heavy coverage tends to feel this way for me. So, this might work for you.

Another thing I'd like to point out is how full of product this cushion has. I mean, you don't really need to push down too much to get enough product you need; just a soft push onto the cushion and you're good! It also doesn't cake or give any white cast on photos. But the best part about this cushion is it's SPF50+ PA+++ which  makes it kinda okay toskip your sunscreen.

Overall, Peripera Pearly Night Inklasting Lavender Cushion is a hit and miss for me. I love how pretty the packaging is but, I don’t like how the puff handle easily snapped after only a few times I used it. I love how it can cover my blemishes and how beautiful the finish is, but I don’t like its heaviness. But the good thing is, it can withstand almost anything because girls, this cushion stays all day!

My Go-to Lip Tint, Peripera Peri's Tint Water in Pink Juice

I love lip tints; they are my beauty savior in times of laziness. They’re versatile and very handy. They never failed me, not even once. Now, I have a new go-to lip tint, this time it’s from Peripera. I got this from my recent Althea PH haul. Peripera Peri's Tint Water is the first product that I used and it’s also the first thing that I grab every morning, well beside my phone, of course. Who am I kidding, right? LOL Anyway, this is a short review and straight to the point, so read on.

I couldn’t deny how cute the packaging of this tint. Korean cosmetics sure know how to capture every girl’s heart. I added it to my cart without any expectations; I needed a new lip tint that time, after all. Peripera Peri's Tint Water comes in a glass container and is merely the size of my pinky. It kinda reminds me of a nail polish – but cuter.  Because of its small size, I can easily grab and put it in my pocket. The doe foot shaped applicator is also shorter than usual, so far, I did not encounter any problems with it. My only concern is if it will reach the bottom once I have used 75% of the product.

Looking at it through the glass, I thought that it will be much pigmented and a bit creamy. It turns out that it’s actually watery – so watery – that the tint will spill out of the bottle if I accidentally drop it. But that’s fine with me.

Peri's Tint Water in Pink Juice gives a soft pink color to my lips. I achieved that color on my lips (from the photo above) with two layers of it. One layer is not enough to be visible in a photo, that’s how subtle it is. That’s also why I love this lip tint. It gives off the natural pink vibe, making my lips look as naturally kissable without any hint of a makeup. The thing with this tint is it doesn’t stay long, 2-3 hours is its longest staying power, and it transfers easily, which I am curious about because it is a tint, it’s not supposed to transfer, right? Those are the reasons why I can’t call it my favorite. Still, I like the effect it gives and can be used as a blush too, so, I’ll give it a 3.5 / 5.

How about you, what's your current go-to lip tint?

Shinning Crystals NOTD

I don’t usually paint my nails, or do a nail art. When I do, it’s always simple and very easy to do – take this NOTD for example. I have a shaky hand, and as much as I wanted a detailed nail art, I’ll just scratch the thought and settle with something boring and simple. Since it’s New Year, I tried and came up with Shinning Crystals.
Why Shinning Crystals? Simply because the nail polish I used has shimmers (Peripera x Frozen Olaf Nail Polish) and the highlight on my ring finger that has a mint green base and crystals on top of it. I don’t have any inspiration, the idea just came to me. Surprisingly, it turns out good.

The nail polishes that I used were really nice. They’re perfect for those who have a short nails like mine. The two colors complimented each other – simple yet sophisticate in some ways. I decided to use different colors of crystals to bring out the color of the base. Although it took me a whole 3 minutes to put them together on my nail, they are worth it. LOL

Review: Peripera x Frozen Magic Glam Tint - Elsa & Anna

We all know and loved the Disney movie, Frozen. Even my uncles know the ever famous Frozen song, Let It Go and guess what, they even know the whole gestures of Elsa while singing the song! They’re actually funny! LOL Anyway, Peripera took the spot when they collaborated with Disney Frozen and have their own makeup line. As a Frozen fan, I didn’t let it pass me! I may be a little late, but it’s better late than never, right? So, here it is~ the review of Peripera x Frozen Magic Tint Glam!

Say hello to Elsa and Anna!

The packaging is so Frozen. The image of Elsa and Anna is on the box and the tube itself. I don’t think I will throw away the boxes of these lippies, they’re gorgeous! Even if you are not a fan of Frozen, I’m sure that you will love these lippies. Not just for their packaging, but also for their colors and performance.

There are two shades available: “1 Let It Go” – the shade of Elsa and “2 I’m Happy, Kristoff” – the shade of Anna. I’m confused why Peripera named the shade of Anna “I’m Happy Kristoff” when they can name it “For the First Time in Forever” instead? Please tell me I have a point? LOL

1 Let It Go – this shade represents Elsa, obviously. It is a hot pink shade and kinda purple too. I’m impressed because this shade is really the same one Elsa is wearing in her pictures. It’s dark and pink and kinda purple but very feminine and not so “villain” color.

2 I’m Happy, Kristoff – of course, this one is Anna’s shade. This shade is the opposite of Elsa’s. It has a coral with pink undertone color. Very simple and carefree – just like Anna. While Elsa’s shade is the bold type, this one is more in the nude zone.

Both of the shades have glossy finish, but rest assured that they’re not sticky or anything like that. They’re very pigmented and give a nice color payoff. You don’t have to re-apply the tint to have a vibrant color because one swipe is enough. But the most amazing thing about these tints is their lasting power, especially Elsa’s tint. We all know that lip tints are long lasting but these tints are different. It can stay all day on your lips! Look at my lip swatch of Anna’s tint. You’ll notice that there’s a remaining pink tint on the middle part of my lower lip, yes? That was Elsa’s tint the day before I took a photo of the swatches! As for Anna’s tint, it’s not as long lasting as Elsa’s but it can stay for as long as 8 hours – whether you eat or not. And oh, they both have a sweet scent too, that fades a couple of minutes after application.

PeriPera x Disney Frozen Collection

Let it go, can’t hold it back anymore. Yep, I just can’t hold it back when I saw this Frozen Collection from Peripera yesterday. I was probably the last person to know about this, but I still want to share it with you guys! PeriPera released a limited edition of Disney’s Frozen Collection. PeriPera actually called it “Winter Kingdom – Limited” line.

Disney’s Frozen became the most famous animation movie of 2013 and received lots of movie and soundtrack awards. No wonder many makeup brands, especially Korean ones, wanted to have a Frozen line of their own. This time, though, it isn’t Etude House who got the privileged, but PeriPera! And I so wanted to slap myself for being late knowing about this collection. I am, after all, a Frozen fan. ^o^

Peripera’s Winter Kingdom – Limited line consists of six different kinds of makeup; a lip tint, powder pact, cushion foundation pact, nail polishes, eyeshadow palettes, & eyeliners. The price range is pretty reasonable, from USD3.44-USD19.65.

PERIPERA X DISNEY FROZEN COLLECTION LINE

Peripera x Frozen Cushion Pact – Available in 2 shades - 20,000KRW (USD19.65)

Peripera x Frozen Powder Pact – Available in 2 shades - 16,000KRW (USD15.72)

Peripera x Frozen Magic Glam Tint – Available in 2 shades - 8000KRW (USD7.86)

Peripera x Frozen Tap Tap 3 Eyes – Available in 2 Palette Colors - 14000KRW (USD13.76)

Peripera x Frozen Wholly Deep Eyeliner Kit - 15900KRW (USD15.62)

Peripera x Frozen Nail Story Glam Nail Polish – Available in 3 colors - 3500KRW (USD3.44)

Elsa, Ana, & even Olaf are the main characters of this line. And it is obviously a torture for me. Since this collection is a limited edition, it is kind of hard to look where online store to buy. But since I so love you, I managed to find a couple of online shops where some of the items from this collection is available.

Their price ranges is quite high compare to the price from Korea.
PERIPERA X DISNEY FROZEN COLLECTION is available at: Gmarket | KollectionK | W2beauty

SO,  DO YOU LIKE THIS COLLECTION AS MUCH AS I AM? ^^
