Korean Drunk-Blush Makeup Look with RiRe Luxe Dual Stick

As a K-drama fan myself, I am pretty much updated on what’s the current trend in Korea – beauty, fashion, and music. The same old dewy and glowing look seems to never go out of style which I gave up on after I realized that it s not something that suits the weather here in the Philippines, the hard way. Today, though, I finally succeeded to achieve the famous beauty trend in South Korea, the drunk-blush makeup look using RiRe Luxe Dual Stick.

Product Info:
RiRe Luxe Dual Stick
Price: Php948.09 (Currently on-sale at YesStyle for only Php379.24)
Where to buy: YesStyle
RiRe Luxe Dual Stick is a multi-purpose dual-ended stick that can be used as a blush, eyeshadow, and as lipstick. It has 3 different variations (1) Highlighter and Contour Stick, (2) Shadow and Blush Stick, and (3) Foundation and Concealer Stick. Mine is the #2 Shadow and Blusher Stick.
The concept of this product is a really good one. Not to mention that they put it in a stick type where it will not take up too much space when you bring it with you anywhere. You are carrying two products in one; or three if you’ll consider using it as a lipstick too. My only problem is how it does not lock properly when you twist it out. Every time I directly apply it on my cheeks, it always goes down on its own, which is kind of annoying especially if you are already in a rush. What I do is hold on to the part where I twist it to prevent it from going back down, or apply it on the back of my hand first then use my fingers to transfer it on to my cheeks or eyelids. It’s already like that when I used it for the first time. I really wish RiRe could improve their packaging on this product.

Both ends contain 3g of products each.
Overall Performance  3/5 stars

RiRe Luxe Dual Stick 02 is a product you will only use for everyday look. It lacks pigment and opaqueness, but workable. I have to apply at least 15 short strokes (yes, I counted it) on my cheeks to achieve the Korean drunk-blush look. It is a good choice for a natural and subtle blush as its color is not as strong as other cream-based blush out there. Its texture is really smooth and glides on smoothly as I directly apply it on my face. This works better when applied after I set my foundation with powder. And no, it does not mess up my base at all.
The Pink shade is what I always use because it is the only one that is noticeable on me. Coral is just too light for my skin tone; it blends on my skin like it’s nothing, I think this will work better on to those with fair skin tone. Pink works better on me. It looks very natural and perfectly gives me the drunk-makeup look that I wanted. Also, since it’s not as pigmented, I don’t use it as eyeshadow – it just doesn’t work.

As per its longevity, it stays for about 2 hours max. So what I do is to set it with a powder blush to make it last longer. I used RiRe Luxe Dual Stick 02 and Celeteque Blush and Face Contour Kit to achieve the Korean drunk blush makeup look below.

Are you familiar with this Korean-beauty trend? What product/s do you use to achieve this look?

FOTD + Review: The Face Shop Lovely me:ex Petit Angle Blusher 02 Blooming Love

Hi ladies~ today I'm gonna post a review of my current blusher which I got a last month from Seoul Catch. The Face Shop had a big sale last Christmas so I have to take advantage to it and bought some of their new products. And now my current blusher is The Face Shop Lovely me:ex Petit Angle Blusher.

I've been eyeing on this Lovely me:ex Petit Angle Blusher for a long time but hesitated to buy because I still have a lot of my Etude House Marble Marble blusher left. But when The Face Shop announced the sale then I didn't have a second thought of ordering.

Product Info:

Brand: The Face Shop
Name: Lovely me:ex Petit Angle Blusher
Available in 3 colors
Net Wt: 5.5g
MADE IN KOREA
Price: Php645 ~ 9,900 won ~ Approx. USD9.5 / bought it for only Php285
Where to Buy: In all The Face Shop botiques

Comes in a simple plastic yet attractive packaging. The Aifel tower design did the trick plus the hearts and ribbons. And the blusher itself is really pretty with 4 different colors; pink, peach and light pink.

Here is a swatch of the Lovely me: Ex petit angle blusher on the back of my hand and on my finger. You can see that it gives a baby pink color and a velvety finish.

The Verdict:

Well, this Petit Angle Blusher is really getting into me. I am loving it because of the healthy blush it gave on my cheeks, just the right pinkish effect and very natural. At first I thought that it might be very shimmering just like the Etude House Marble Marble blusher, but this one is different it gives a sweet pick-me-up subtle color with a soft touch of shimmer which I really love. Plus I also uses this as eye shadow for my everyday look and can be used as highlighter too, so what more will you look for? Its definitely a good deal although it's a bit expensive here in Philippines I guess this is worth the buy.

I really recommend this product, and I might try the two other shades of this *wink*. So before I finish this post, I will leave you my FOTD using the The face shop Lovely me: Ex Petit Angle Blusher 02 Blooming Love.

I know I look weird. LOL This is how I look whenever I am just staying at home.

And that's all for today's review. I hope you enjoyed reading this.
Bye-bye!
