REVIEW | Etude House Wonder Pore Special Trial Kit

Hello peeps! How were your weekends? =) Today I will share a product that would help to minimize your pores instantly. It’s the Etude House Wonder Pore Special Trial Kit. I got this kit from Etude House’s Princess Academy last year. That only means that this review is way long overdue. Still, I think that some of you might be interested to know if the Wonder Pore line really works wonders.

Etude House Wonder Pore Special Trial Kit has three deluxe sizes of Wonder pore freshner, white clay clear, and corrector. This is a 3-step trial kit consisted of Wonder Pore products that provide a total care solution for clean and firm pores.

 Directions: (taken from Etude House)
Wonder Pore White Clay Clear (For pore absorbing) – 10g
Evenly spread a thick layer of Wonder Pore White Clay Clear onto dry face, avoid eye and lip area. Rinse off with lukewarm water after 15~20 minutes.

Wonder Pore Freshner (For pore cleansing) – 25ml
After morning/evening cleansing, dispense a certain amount onto a cotton pad and gently wipe from inner to outer areas of the face. Gently pat to absorb.

Wonder Pore Corrector (For pore correcting) – 5ml
At the last stage of basic skin care, dispense a small amount and absorb into areas that need special care
VERDICT:
House Wonder Pore Special Trial Kit is enough to use for a 1~2 weeks of use that is if you are going to use it once or twice a week only. I usually use the fresher first after I cleanse, then the clay and the corrector is last.
There wasn’t any tightening feeling when using the white clay on my face. Even after applying a thick layer. Wonder pore freshner on the other hand feels really refreshing. It has this cool sensation when you apply it on your face, it is indeed a freshner. Just like the white clay, the corrector also feels nothing upon application. These three don’t have overwhelming scent.

Does it work? Yes! This kit minimizes the visibility of my pores instantly. So I usually use this kit whenever I have an event to go, 30-minutes are enough to pamper my skin before going out. Yes it works, but I don’t think the effect is for the long term. Maybe with regular use, I will see an improvement, but since I only got deluxe sizes, I can’t say anything more, as of now.

If you are in a rush and you think that your pores are shouting for attention, then this kit could be your best choice to hide them. I don’t think Etude House is selling this trial kit, but if you’re going to buy any full size of this kit, I recommend that you buy the corrector first. J

Overall Rating:   ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ 4/5

But all I can say is this House Wonder Pore Special Trial Kit really is a wonder woman for your pores.

REVIEW | Etude House Rosy Tint Lips #8 After Blossom

It's a month of love now, ladies! I am sure that most of you are now preparing for their dates this coming Valentine's Day, yeah? I'm actually planning to post a makeup tutorial for you guys, but since I don't have a decent camera now (my camera got stolen), I may not be able to do it. Of course I wouldn't let you face your dates not looking pretty. That is why I want to share a review of Etude House Rosy Tint Lips. :)

If you remember I did a makeup swap with my blogging friend, Rini, last year, and this Etude House Rosy Tint Lips is one of the products that she sent to me. I was hesitant to try this myself before that's why I did not purchase it, but luckily, Rini sent me one. Hmm.. Shall we proceed to the review? Hihi

PRODUCT INFO:
Brand: Etude House
Name: Rosy Tint Lips #8
Net Wt: 7g
MADE in KOREA
Price: PHP478.00 | USD7.94
Where to Buy: Etude House

The packaging of this product is indeed rosy! Rose everywhere! What more can you expect with Etude House's way of driving the girls crazy with their packagings, yes? Though, I should say that the tube is really hard to squeeze and needed force to let the lip cream out. On the other hand, that is really a nice idea considering that what's inside is made of cream and that it might mess your makeup kits if it'll be pinned down with some heavy things inside your bag.

It comes with a sponge applicator which I find not that good and not-so hygienic, so I really recommend to use a lip brush for this one to have a real nice full cover lipstick. But the good thing with the sponge is that there will be a lot of product left in it that you can use as a tint on your lazy days and the results won't let you down.

"Pigment" is what Etude House Rosy Tint Lips scream to us. The creamy texture makes it easy to use and apply on the lips. It has a matte finish and I encourage to let your lips moisturized before using this tint. The formula of this product really is not bad and also not that good to those who people who has a problem with their dry lips.

Rosy tint lips give a very nice color payoff whether you use it as tint or as full cover lipstick. Yes, this one last long enough on my lips, probably for about 6-7 hours, but of course that is without eating or anything like it. You also might experience having your lipstick transferred on to anything that touches your lips, Still, the color will stay but not as strong, just a hint of remaining tint on the lips yet surprisingly look good.

Cream products are really versatile. Just like this one, you can also use it as a blusher, let alone as eyeshadow as well. And I swear that this tint won't disappoint you! *wink* And oh, expect a tiny hint of rose scent from this product, but it is not that noticeable.

Etude House Minnie Kissing Lips Review

Do you remember the previous limited collection of Etude House? Yes, the Xoxo Minnie collection is the one I am talking about! Now, I want to share a review of my own Etude House Minnie Kissing Lips in Bubble Pink. I don’t know why but the red one doesn’t have any appeal to me so I decided to buy only the pink one.

Xoxo Minnie Collection becomes really popular right after Etude House release its teaser photos. I really wanted to have the whole collection but you know.. wallet problems. LOL. I bought my Minnie kissing lips at Han Ryu, one of my favorite online k-shops. Anyway, shall we begin the review?

PRODUCT INFO:
Brand: Etude House
Name: Minnie Kissing Lips #2 bubble pink
Available in 2 shades: #1 minnie red &  #2 bubble pink
Net Wt: 3.5g
MADE in KOREA
Price: 9,000won | Approx. USD8.44
Where to Buy: Etude House | Han Ryu

VERDICT:
Since it is Etude House we are talking about, then the first thing that you’ll fall for is the packaging. A cute packaging collaborated with a cute character is perfect! Etude House + Minnie Mouse = I-can’t-resist-not-to-buy problem. The packaging of Minnie kissing lips lipstick is just too adorable. I am so much fond of polka dots and maybe that’s why I bought this one instead of the other that has a printed Minnie Mouse face on it. The combination of the colors is indeed cute; pink, black and white. Information’s of the product is written in Korean & English.

Let’s move on to the swatches of the lipstick.
The photo shows how pigmented Minnie kissing lips is and how it looks under natural light and with flash on. Well, what matters is how it looks like when applied on the lips.

There it is! It’s really pretty right? It came out as a very pretty pink on lips, not too dark and not too light. The finish is semi-glossy and leaves the lips really moisturized. I really like how it glides on smoothly on my lips that make it really easy to apply. There is also a mild sweet scent but barely noticeable. Its longevity is pretty decent as it stays on within 4-5 hours.  It settles on the lines on my lips perfectly too. Also, this lipstick looks really nice on photos and brightens your complexion. Unlike other pink lipsticks that I’ve tried that makes me look like I just got tanned. Perhaps, this’ll be one of my favorite pink lipsticks. Now, I am really regretting not buying the red Minnie. LOL I’ll buy it next time!

Dark, dry and chapped are my lips major problems and because of that the lipsticks that I wear gives a different color on my lips. Especially the lines of my lips that looks like I am smoking my whole life (I am not a smoker, just so you know. LOL) because when you look at it closely, you will see that it is somehow grey-ish. Review | Etude House Bling In the Sea Proof 10 Bling Eye Stick OR201

Every make-up Princesses know how good and pretty products Etude House has. Just who can resist such girly, princess-y, pink and affordable makeups, right? Bling in the Sea is one of the newest make-up line of Etude House and if I was not mistaken, the theme was about freshness for the summer.

I was one of the lucky one who were able to receive the Etude House Bling in the Sea Proof 10 Bling Eye Stick inside the loot bag from Etude House's previous annual event, Princess Academy. Now, let me share with you my experience with this eyeshadow stick from Etude House's Bling in the sea line.

PRODUCT INFO:

Brand: Etude House
Name: Bling in the Sea Proof 10 Bling Eye Stick OR201
Net Wt: 1.3g
Price: Around Php300-400+
Available in 5 shades
Made in Korea
Where to Buy: In all Etude House's Botiques & Department Stores

Okay, Etude House has once again won over their cutest packaging ever! Each bling stick comes in a plae blue tube with silver, bling-y writing. The design is a sparkles around the upper part of the tube, and just like their Bling Bling Eye Stick, the old and plain version of this Bling stick, it is also a twist up type. Also, each stick has this sticker on the top of the lid which is obviously, the shade indicator. Manufactured date, check!

My first impression after opening this was "Uh oh~ how am I gonna use this one? Should I just give it away?". Why did i said that? because they're almost made out of shimmers that it lacks of creaminess in it, that it is too light to be used as an eyeshadow and barely visible. And here's this stupid little question of mine, I thought, it's pink, then why is it white? LOL but of course that question was immediately answered after I swatched it. :)

The first photo was taken under natural lighting, but since the color isn't showing, I tried to took another photo with flash, refer to the second photo. From left to right, it was swatched thicker.

As you can see, the color is not that opaque, so using them as eyeshadow alone won't be a good idea. I tried to use it as highlighter but also didn't work because the shimmers are too obvious. What about as eyeliners just like what the advertisement says? I don't think so, the stick is too thick and you might end up applying too much product on your eyes though you can use it to highlight the inner eye corner.

If that's the case, what am I gonna do with my Bling stick?
The answer is very simple, Play Etude!

Here's what I did:

I layered my bling stick on top of my black eyeliner and see how pretty and glam my eyeliner looks? Though the effect is somewhat pink-ish than coral, it's still pretty. Or if you have a favorite matte eyeshadow and wanted to play with it, use your bling stick as your eyeshadow base to give your matte shadows sparkles. It stays on the whole day but you will notice a slight fading. You can actually do more with this bling stick, with your blush and lipstick!

Overall Experience: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ 3/5

Any other tips to play with this Bling stick? Share 'em down! ^o^

REVIEW | Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint RD301

I've been wanting to buy the full size of this Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint for a long time, and when the 3-day sale of SM Bacoor last month came, I didn't hesitate to bought it finally since it was 10% off that day.
PRODUCT INFO:

BRAND: Etude House
NAME: Fresh Cherry Tint RD301
NET Wt:
MADE in KOREA
Available in 4 shades
PRICE: PHP348
WHERE to BUY: Etude House Philippines Botiques/Stores

Manufactured date written under the container.

photo 676966-1.gifPACKAGING: This tint comes in a red, small packaging which I find simple yet easy to grab and put in your makeup pouch. If you'll also notice, the color of the packaging is similar to the shade of the tint itself. Nothing special about its applicator though.

photo 676966-1.gifSWATCH, TEXTURE & COLOR: It's a red + pinkish color. Although its not as red as I thought I still love this shade. The tint is very light and a bit of creamy texture but not sticky. It also feels like it has a lip balm in it 'coz it won't make your lips dry unlike those tints that I have tried. The scent is also good, it smells like candy strawberry and taste like one too but with a bit of plastic. LOL
photo 676966-1.gifVERDICT: Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint is the best tint I've tried so far. It will really make you lips pretty and moisturized . This tint is also perfect for ulzzang/gradient lips. With just a small amount of the tint, it'll give you the natural reddish pinkish that you will truly love. Refer to the photo above. A tint that is perfect for your everyday look, put on a thick layer then it's prefect for your night out too. The only downside of this tint is that it's not long lasting, it stays on my lips for 2-3 hours only, but still, I love it! Hihihi~~

Overall Rating:    4/5
