Quick Review of Hanskin BIO Origin Royal Ampoule B.B EX

With Korean Cosmetics’ beautiful packaging, I sometimes forget that Korean and Filipinos have way different skin complexion. That’s exactly what happened when I chose Hanskin BIO Origin Royal Ampoule B.B EX to be one of my prizes back when I won a contest at CHARIS. Don’t get me wrong, it is actually great; it has a nice finish and coverage that comes in a very sophisticated packaging too.

Compared to the usual BB Cream I have tried, Hanskin BIO Origin Royal Ampoule B.B EX has a rather unique skin benefit promises. The real ampoule B.B is filled with ampoule serum using Celtrion’s dual-dissimilation technology that creates three-tiered layer of moisture. Meaning that this is actually best used by those who have dry skin, like moi. 

It is probably because of Celtrion’s dual-dissimilation technology that makes this BB a lot more watery in texture than any other liquid base I’ve had. It is watery and has runny consistency which makes it lighter and easier to apply on skin. It also has a mild sweet and floral scent.

The finish is definitely dewy. That is actually what I like best about this product. My skin looks smooth and elastic after it sets. It is better applied with a sponge rather than a brush to avoid it settling on the pores of my face. Its coverage is light to medium, but is enough to cover tiny red bumps and scars around my cheek area. 

My only problem is that Hanskin BIO Origin Royal Ampoule B.B EX only has one shade. And while it has benefits that truly benefit those with dry skin, its shade does not match my morena complexion. It looks too white and pale on me. And the white cast is crazy! I made a mistake using it during my graduation ceremony; all of my photos do not look good because I look like a clown whose face is so white and doesn’t match the color of my neck. Argh! Take note that I even used my darkest setting powder and used a bronzer too.

Anyway, if you have fair or dry skin, then I highly recommend this one, just remember not to use it during an event where you know that there will be lots of picture taking. Other than that, Hanskin BIO Origin Royal Ampoule B.B EX is actually pretty nice. I still use it, but only during those days when my skin is so dry that no other liquid foundation works. At least, there’s that.

TonyMoly Petite Cotton BB Cream Delight Review

This review is waaay long overdue. I probably received this TonyMoly Petite Cotton BB Cream delight around three or four months ago. Yeah, I know that was like, forever. Anyway, you have probably seen this BB Cream as one of my beauty favorites and I’m about to tell you why.

TonyMoly Petite Cotton BB Cream Delight is small and handy. It has an easy squeeze tube and dispense the product quite nicely. The packaging is cute too. 

This BB cream has whitening, anti-aging, SPF30 PA++ and available in two shades. Mine is Dark Beige. I was a little hesitant when I got this one because it’s been a while since I used a Korean brand BB Cream. It turns out that this one is really good.

Petite Cotton BB Cream Delight has a pink undertone. I was really surprised that this work well for me since any base with pink undertone usually is too light on my skin. TonyMoly must have done something with it, but whatever it is, I love it! 

The texture is also perfect, thick and creamy yet easy to spread and blend. It is also not sticky, quite the opposite actually, and dries up quickly after application. I have tried many Korean makeups and it seems like when they say that this BB Cream has a cottony finish, they actually mean powdery. Truth be told, this one does have an amazing cottony finish! Probably one of the best BB Cream with this kind of finish I have ever tried so far. Sometimes I don’t set with powder and it still looks good.

I know that some of you are conscious about the coverage – this one has a good one too. Not light, but also not on the heavy side, it falls in the medium range but can still pass on the no-makeup makeup and also weightless. It doesn’t cake or anything like that. The staying power is about 4-6 hours max, but with the help of setting powder.

Another thing that I love about this BB Cream is how good it looks good in photos! 

If I were to rate it, I’d give it a 4.5/5. The missing .5 goes to its longevity, you know how I hate retouching, right? Still, if it can provide me a great selfie, why not? J

Pond's Flawless White BB Cream in Beige Review

 Some think that BB Cream is a little overrated now, because of the different brands that popped out here and there the moment it hit the market. But come on, BB Creams are great! And I’m counting on them for years now! Anyway, there’s been a hype about Pond’s BB Cream, thanks to BDJ Box, I was able to know what the hype is all about. I’m sort of late about this, actually, and I wonder why I didn’t dare try this BB Cream before!

 Comes in a slim and pretty in hot pink tube, Pond’s Flawless White BB Cream has SPF30 PA+++ to protect the skin from the sun. Still, with the current summer heat today, I suggest to apply at least a layer of sunscreen on to your face, just to be sure.

 This BB Cream is lightweight, has sheer coverage, and works with every skin type. It has a yellow undertone which makes it perfect for the Pinays morena skin tone. Its texture is smooth and creamy and gives off a semi-matte finish. I find it a little sticky, though, but nothing a setting powder can’t fix.  Unscented and very easy to spread to the face.

 

 Beige is a little light on me, but I guess that’s because of the whitening promise of this bb cream. My only concern is that there are times when it makes my pores more visible, especially in the nose area. You can actually see what I’m talking about on my face swatch.

I love that it doesn’t cake even if applied under a sunscreen. It’s moisturizing too. It doesn’t cover imperfections, but it can reduce the visibility of the redness quite well. The semi-matte finish gives the natural glow and makes my skin look really healthy and with even skin tone.  

Overall, this is a nice drugstore bb cream. Pond’s BB Cream is a good choice for every day use, since it stays for as long as 8 hours with a minimal fading, and controls the oiliness of my T-zone too! Its quality is certainly more than its price.

Maybelline’s Clear Smooth BB Trio Review

Weeee~ at last, I can finally post a product review! I had a very unstable internet connection last week and it’s good to have the connection back. With that said, I want to share the review of this bb trio of Maybelline – the bb cream, bb stick, and bb white. If you remember, I got this as a gift from Maybelline in exchange of helping them find the next Maybelline BB Cream Model. And I am probably the last to make this review out of all the bloggers who joined that challenge.

NOTE: These BB creams aren’t sold as a set but individually.

 Maybelline Clear Smooth BB Cream SPF26 PA+++ 02 Natural

This BB Cream’s consistency is quite runny, which makes it easier to blend on the skin. The shade though, is a bit darker to my skin tone. But if you like the tanned effect, then I guess you will like this BB cream. It has enough SPF too, which is, well, every BB cream should have. The finish is semi-matte and that is so not good for me that have a real dry skin. This BB cream also accentuates the dry patches on my face. Coverage is light-to-medium and the staying power is not that good as it stays on my face for about 2-3 hours only. 

 Maybelline Clear Smooth BB Stick SPF21 PA+++

This is by far my most favorite among the three. Not just because of its user friendliness, I also love how it can easily spread and blends on my skin. It has a powdery finish that makes my skin smoother despite of me having a dry skin. If you will look at the swatches below, it looks like the shade is too white for me but it’s actually not. Surprisingly, it is the best match to my skin tone. Though the coverage is very light; I really like how natural it looks at me. Perfect for everyday use and it won’t look like you have applied any BB cream on your face. Staying power is 4-5 hours.

 Maybelline Clear Smooth BB White SPF50 PA+++

For me, BB White is more of a tinted moisturizer. Despite of it has a very high SPF, it also gives enough moisture and hydration to my skin, which is what I always looking for any base makeup. It glides on smoothly upon application. The coverage is also light-to-medium depending on how many layers you’ll apply on your face. I got the same shades of BB Cream and BB White and I should say that both of them are one tone darker to my skin tone, but I don’t actually mind. What really amazes me is the moisturizing property of this one, I mean the finish is not dewy at all but I can really feel that my skin is well-moisturized. Staying power is 2-3 hours in this humid weather.

These three BB’s are indeed different in their own way, but there are few aspects that make them sisters. BB Cream, BB Stick, and BB White are both lighter than any other bb products I have tried so far. They have the same scent which, of course, I can’t explain. (Scent is not my field of expertise) And lastly, they are all made by Maybelline New York.

REVIEW | Rojukiss Enca Acne Control BB Cream

☼PACKAGING: This bb cream's packaging looks like a treatment cream for me. LOL! Seriously, you wouldn't have an idea that this one is bb cream unless you will read its label. It comes in a tube type in a red and white color. It's actually pretty bulky and quite heavy for a 50ml product. I was surprised to see that the part where the bb cream will come out is not sealed until I realized that the whole mouth pointed tip is attached to the whole tube itself. And I was like "Oh My Gosh!! where is the seal?". Silly me. Haha

And because the tube is not seal-able, it's not hygienic at all. Imagine if you'll gonna out it in your make-up kit and you suddenly put on some heavy thing above it.... the most probably will happen is, the bb cream might burst out from its tube and the worst scenario is, your makeup kit is in a mess!! HAHAHA~! Well, that only happens to those who are clumsy girls... like me? 

☼SWATCH & VERDICT: As I said earlier, I used this Enca Acne Control BB Cream the moment I get my hands on it and been continuesly using after. This bb cream has a medium to heavy coverage and a thick texture and a bit difficult to blend coz it dries up easily. A little amount goes a long way though, refer to the photo above and see how it spreads and covered the part where I swatched it. :) I also can't say if it is a yellow or pink undertone so I'll go with grey. Despite of that, it still matches my skin tone well. It might look too white on me at first but after a seconds, it'll adjust to my skin tone. Also has a matte finish and didn't give me any breakouts.

I wear this on the Nutox Launch Bloggers Event yesterday and I am really impressed on its OIL CONTROL properties. After being in a lot of bad things happened to me that day, after sweating and panting and sweating again from a long walk, from being caught jaywalking(yes, that too happened, LOL) and stucked on a traffic jam.. my make-up is still intact! I'd say that it stays for 6-7 hours even under the hot weather here in Philippines.

This one is best for those who have acne problems and has a sensitive skin, and since I don't suffer with those problems (thankfully) I can't say much about that part. The only downside of this product is that it only has one shade and not available locally. Still, I am in love with this Enca Acne Control BB Cream. It is indeed another great find at Wishtrend.

To be honest, I didn't have an idea on what Mr.&Mrs.Claus daughter would look like. All I imagined was she must have a very red lips, rosy cheeks and white skin. So, I did my best to make my skin whiter by putting more bb cream than I usually did but it did not turned out well I looked like one of those japanese dolls whose face is so white with circled red blush on their cheeks LOL and that's why I only focused on my lips.

This is my first product from genietree so I really thank KC for sending me some of the info about this product. So, let's start the review ^o^.

 The packaging is the typical bb cream tube type and since I prefer a tube type than pump type it earned really good points from me  What I love about tubed bb cream is that they are really easy to use and you don't need to put extra effort just to have the right amount of bb cream you would like to use. BUT what I don't like about it is just tube type are more messier than pump type, most of the products was left in the cap and it is such a waste

Its texture is a bit watery and non-sticky. This bb cream is really light weight you'll feel as if you are not wearing bb cream at all. The color of this product seems too light for me but it can blend in naturally to my skin tone. See swatch below on the back of my hand:

If you've been following my blog for quite some time then I guess you already know that my nose probably has a problem because I really can't acknowledge the scent of some products  But all I can say is that this bb cream has a simple and relaxing smell.

Out of all of my bb creams this now my favorite one, it has medium-high coverage. As you all know I don't usually doubled the application of bb cream on my face and with just 1 thin layer of this bb cream it already covered all my flaws  

This is a great bb cream~~!! I have an oily skin and this product really worked on me, it has a great oil control despite of the hot weather here in Philippines. The lasting power is also good, it last for at least 6-8 hrs without retouching anything. This bb cream glides on really smoothly on skin when I am applying it and did not clogged my pores. I am using this for almost 2 weeks now and thankfully nothing has popped out on my face since then. And oh, it has a dewy finished too.
